Epilogue

It had been days, weeks since Karl had touched his factory.
Months, even.

He didn't leave the manor.
The only time he did, was to bury Aless's body.
He stood over her grave then, planting a rose bush by her headstone.
Her headstone read "Lady Heisenberg-M'Conell.
Forever loved.
Never forgotten.
1981 - 2011.".
He covered and put away everything he had that belonged to her. The only thing he kept, was her faded green ribbon.

The Dimitrescu family was absolutely distraught. All of them loved Aless, she was so kind despite what happened when she first met them.

Alcina felt sorrow for her brother. Even though the two of them hated eachother, she knew Heisenberg loved his wife dearly.

Donna mourned the lost of her closest friend quietly.
Angie seemed saddened as well, but they didn't talk about it.

Moreau didn't know Aless very well, but he still liked her. When he met her for the first time, she tried to be as nice as she could to him. He was upset, too.

Heisenberg slowly became numb. When he started attending meetings again after 3 weeks, he was irritable, angry.
Whenever someone brought up her name, he would lash out.

"Never mention that fucking name again!! Do you fucking understand me?!?" He'd scream, the same lump from before forming in his throat.

He felt regret in his heart. He believed he could have done something, something to prevent her death. He blamed it on himself.

Heisenberg was asked one day to help Miranda with some things in the lab. He had to get out of that manor, he'd been staying in it for weeks. He hadn't touched his factory in an entire year.

He begrudgingly did as he was told. He couldn't refuse that bitch Miranda. He didn't have much of a choice.

"Heisenberg. Would you mind going in my lab to get a few files?" Miranda asked politely.

"Yes, Mother." He said.
He went into the lab to grab the files, when something caught his eye.

Curious, he looked down at the table, paying attention to the contents on it.

The corner of a photo was sticking out of another file.
He pulled out the photo from the other file.
What the.. fuck?

It was a photo of Aless.
She was smiling, her eyes bright with color.
She looked alive. Happy.

"Why does Miranda have a photo of Aless??"
He opened the file.
It was full of written information about Aless. Her full name, birthdate.. every single little thing.

He flipped the page.

Entry 1: It seems that Heisenberg and Aless have romantic relations. I'm curious to see where this will lead to.
Heisenberg flipped through the pages.

It was just things about what had happened over the years.
And somehow, Miranda could tell that Aless..
that she..
That she wanted a baby.

It was written down, but it seemed that Miranda never knew why, as that was the only thing that was written down.

He flipped to one of the more recent entries.
"I've waited to see if the two of them would attempt to reproduce. No mutant affected with the Cadou has attempted to do so, and the outcome would be interesting. However, I've gotten bored. It seems that perhaps, after all, they aren't interested to do so."
He flipped to the next entry.
"After a bit of experimenting, I have created the virus that the megamycete once was. Aless is nothing more than just a distraction to Heisenberg.
I have successfully ensured that she has come in contact with the virus. I will not disclose how."

His breath caught in his throat.
Did.. did Miranda have something to do with this?? He thought.

He turned to the most recent page.
Horrified, he read the final entry.

"The girl is on the verge of death. She will no longer distract Heisenberg from his work or affect his devotion to me. She was an experiment, to see if she and him could produce a child naturally born with the Cadou."

He took a step back.
That.. that.. THAT BITCH!!
She murdered my wife!
She murdered her!! My Aless!!

Anger consumed him.
I will make sure that she will fucking pay!!
That motherfucker!!
She will die!!
She WILL die!!

"Heisenberg? What's taking so long?" Miranda called out.
Karl quickly stuck the photo of Aless in his pocket and grabbed the file he was supposed to bring to Miranda.

I'll get my revenge on that bitch, Aless, don't you worry.
