A sea of people are on the grounds. Random little kids are running around chasing each other. I almost trip over one. The kid had snot running down their nose and their mother was running after him.
People linger around everywhere. I even notice some familiar faces from school.
I feel a hand grab mine. Looking over I see Levina dragging Owen and I to the food stands. Some venders are selling funnel cakes and others are selling cotton candy along with churros and several other things.
I love churros so much.
"What should I get? I'm hungry as fuck." Levina's eyes trail all the different options. Her eyes light up once she sees the deep fried Oreos. "Owen! Buy me the Oreos." She grabs onto Owens hoodie and drags him next to her and points to the food stand. "Don't worry I'll pay you back later." She says patting his back.
He rolls his eyes and takes out his wallet. Quietly, he walks up to the girl at the stand. She has light brown hair with blonde highlights. A flirty smile rests upon her face. Levina and I are too far away to hear what they're saying, but I can tell that he looks unamused by her flirting.
The flirtatious girl pushes her chest out as she hands him the food. He takes it and walks away immediately, I see her frown once his back is turned.
"Does every girl flirt with you?" I question him as he hands Levina her fried Oreo. She immediately starts to devour it.
He just shrugs wordlessly. His grey eyes look lighter when it's dark out, they are very enticing. They kind of reflect his personality. When I think of the color grey I think of the calmness. He is a very calm person which I've noticed over the time I've known him. Which isn't a long time, I've only known him for a few weeks.
His hair is also messy and hangs over his forehead, it's wavy with a few curls. Even in his black sweatshirt and jeans his body looks nice. He has a slim build, a little muscular but not a lot.
My thoughts are interrupted by his voice, "Are you done staring at me?" A cocky smile rests on his lips. My mouth goes slightly ajar from shock.
"No." I respond and then give his appearance one more look over. I look him back in the eyes, "Okay now I am." I smile at him.
I notice his ears turning a slightly red shade and he looks everywhere but my eyes. I don't think he was expecting my somewhat bold response
I love being bold occasionally. It's thrilling.
"Okay losers follow me." Levina beckons us with her hands except comes to a sudden halt. "Wait- hot chick in sight." Her eyes go wide.
Owen and I look to who she is staring at. A slim girl with long curly ginger hair stands by a ride off the side. She is wearing black shorts and a black crop-top. Her skin is very fair and even from far away I can tell that her eyes are a piercing blue. She seems to be around 5'5.
I nudge Levina with my shoulder, "Well go talk to her." I flash her a look of encouragement. She looks at me with wide eyes, nervousness coursing through her.
Owen puts his hand on her shoulder which startles her, she jumps a little. "C'mon Lev, you only live once, just go. And listen, if she rejects you, just run away." He gives her a half smile and she scowls at him.
"Easy for you to say." She rolls her eyes. "No girl has ever rejected you." Her arms cross over her chest.
"I know." A cocky smirk reappears back onto his face.
"Ugh, you know what, fuck it." She begins walking up to the pretty red head. The girl is zoned out staring at the floor while drinking from her soda. She finally snaps out of her daze when Levina arrives next to her. A welcoming smile tugs at the corner of the girls lips. They begin talking.
