- One year later -
*Luna's POV*
Sadie purrs as I scratch the top of her as I read.
I love this cat so fucking much.
Her grey fur is soft under my fingers.
Owen and I adopted her when we moved into this apartment last year.
Flora still lives at Owen's parents house, except he visits her often since he misses her...a lot.
Except he loves Flora and Sadie equally. They're his little babies.
Well...his furry babies.
I sigh when I lift the book off my stomach and look at the bump on my stomach.
His human baby won't stop kicking me.
"Can you stop little lady? I'm trying to read!" I poke my stomach, telling her to stop.
She won't stop. Whatever.
This is Owen and his weak pull out game's fault.
Never did I ever see myself being nineteen and pregnant, but here we are.
"Sorry Sadie, but I gotta go prepare dinner." Sadie looks up at me as I attempt to push myself off the couch.
I'm able to get up...eventually.
Our apartment is small, but it's cute. The walls are a creamy white. There's a small living room with one big bookcase that we keep all of our books in. Well...we had to leave some books at our parent's home's since they don't all fit in the bookcase.
Several of my favorite scented candles are spread around the place.
Our kitchen is right across from the living room. And a small round wooden table sits in the middle with a few plates spread along with the chairs.
And the kitchen is my favorite part because it's sage green.
I could stare at this fucking kitchen every damn day.
As I prepare the rice and chicken, suddenly the front door opens and I turn my head.
Owen walks in and drops his backpack on the floor tiredly.
College and that internship has been kicking his ass, but he's managing.
I'm so proud of him.
"Hi! How was your day today?" I ask as I walk over to him.
His eyes soften when he sees me.
His arms engulf me in a long hug.
"I think my professor loves seeing me overwhelmed with work, but other than that it was good." Owen leans back and smacks a kiss on my lips.
"How was your day? Hows my little girl doing?" His warm hand slides to the side of my stomach.
"She won't stop kicking me. I can't even read in peace." I look down to my stomach and poke it again.
