Chapter 17: A Great Start with His Ex

RHYLE'S POV

She's amazingly beautiful.. I can't help myself to look at her. The dress suits her. It expose half of her slender legs. Inalalayan ko siya pababa ng kotse and give the key to the valet.

I hold Iya's hand.. She's nervous kaya pinisil ko ang kamay niya then smile at her. Inalalayan ko rin si Liz and nagsabay na kaming tatlo. "Are you ok?" I ask her. Tumango lang ito at ngumiti. She's holding Liz's hand.

Malayo pa lang ay tanaw ko na si JC. Parang aligaga ito. What's wrong with him. Napatingin siya kay Liz. Oh great, I tap him and give him a smile. "Hey bro, what's up? Where's Ashley?"

He smiled. "She's inside, with Justin." He said while his eyes glued to Liz." Mesmerized by her? Don't make it obvious bro.."I teased him.

He groaned and said, "don't start it. Later you'll be in a hot seat." He smirked glancing to Liz again.

"Am I? We'll see then." I hold Iya's hand tightly as we entered the hall. Iya never leaves Liz' hand while JC is keeping up with her.

As we entered the ballroom, I see familiar faces. It's been a long time I've been in this gathering. Sa bawat kakilala na bumabati and kinakamusta ay pinapakilala ko si Iya and Liz while JC is there to back me up.

IYA'S POV

Ang daming tao, they were all fashionistas and very luxurious in terms of their designed clothes, jewelries, gadgets and other stuff. Halos magkakakilala sila. They were all busy conversing. Nagkatinginan lang kami ni Liz. All smiles pa rin kahit feeling OP.

Rhyle holding my hand as if parang ayaw niya akong mawala. He introduced us kung sinong mang lumalapit na bumati at sa mga guest na kilala niya mapa matanda o bata. Family friend and business partners ng family nila at related din sa kanya and to Rachelle.

In a moment magsisimula na ang show kaya umupo na kami sa reserved seats namin. Hindi pa rin humihiwalay si Rhyle sa akin. Maya maya ay nagsimula na.

Later

Hindi parin ako makamove on. As in WOW. I'm in awe with the show. Maybe dahil ngayon lang ako nakapanood ng ganito or because isa na rin ako sa mga fans ni Rachelle. Napakaganda niya. She's like a princess of the catwalk. No wonder avid fan niya si Liz at ang iba pa. She's so sophisticated. Humahanga ako sa kagandahan niya. Para na akong isang fan na gustong magpaauthograph sa isang idolo. Pero si Rhyle kaya ano ang nararamdaman niya para sa Ex? Bigla tuloy akong na insecure. But sa kabuuan ng show Rhyle is just smiling and sometimes serious. He looks plain hindi katulad namin ni Liz na nagniningning ang mga mata dahil sa paghanga.

After the show nagtipon ang magkakabarkada. Nandoon sina Justin, JC, Ashley, Kent, Kirbey at iba pa. Maya maya ay lumabas na si Rachelle at binati ang lahat.

"Girl, ang ganda niya di ba? Para siyang isang anghel," tumango lang ako kay Liz. Medyo maingay at bumubulong siya sa akin. And beside Rhyle is there sa tabi ko still holding me my hand. "Anong Klaseng mukha yan? Whatever it is mag uuhi night. And don't overthink things." Taas kilay niyang sabi.

"I'm not. It's just awkward. But honestly best. I'm a fan of her na rin." Halos pabulong ko na ring sabi sa kanya.

"Talaga!?... mmm? That's interesting!"

"E ang ganda niya kasi...at ang galing pa.. I wonder why bakit sila nagkahiwalay? Mahina kong sabi.

"Ba't di mo tanungin mamaya? I'm sure, whatever it is? May mabigat na dahilan..." Liz.

Hindi na ako nakasagot dahil hinapit ako ni Rhyle sa beywang and whispered. "Babe? Are you ok?" Nagtatanong na naman. Ilang beses na niya ako tinatanong na kung ok lang ako.

"Of course I am. In fact, I'm a fan of her now. Kaya don't worry, ok?" I stated.

"Oh, talaga? I'm glad to hear that. Honestly, she deserves that compliment. She really did a great job sa gusto niyang maachieve sa life. That's her dream eversince and I'm happy for her." Nagkatinginan lang kami ni Liz. I look at him and smile. "Hey, wanna met her?" Biglang nawala yung agam agam ko nang marinig namin yun ni Liz.

Lumalapit na rin pala sa amin si Rachelle.

"Hey Chelle congratulations!" He gave her a kiss. Its just a kiss Iya. Oo nga.... "great comeback, huh."

"Thanks Rhyle. I'm glad you came. Oh by the way, is this Iya?" She said smiling at me.

"Yes, and this is Liz her bestfriend." Nag "hi' ako sa kanya and kiss her.

"Congratulations!" I said. Na parang starstruck. And Liz do the same.

"oh thank you. I heared so many things about you...but don't get me wrong...they were all positive compliments... mabuti naman at nakaladkad mo tong si Rhyle. I'm sure kasi na hindi pupunta to." Natawa kami ni Liz. May pagka jologs din pala ito.

"Salamat...Dapat lang.... dahil kahit di siya sasama pupunta pa rin kami. You did great kanina. " And we laugh.

"Wow..thank you talaga. I'm happy to hear that. You know what? You should see Rhyle modeling too. He's good at it. But sometimes awkward." And we laugh. What a revelation ha. Nagmomodel din pala ang lokong ito.

"Kasi dati napipilitan lang naman siya namagmodel dahil sa akin. Until we saw potential on him. He did modeling naturally. Aside from the fact that he is good looking,  he has this karisma effect sa tao. You know what mas marami pa nga siyang fans kaysa sa akin."

"E kahit hanggang ngayon, marami pa naman siyang fans." I teased.

"Yeah, kailan ba mawawalan ng fans ang isang Rhyle Salvedra? Nah!...." and we laugh sa turan ni Rachelle.

"Yeah great. Pinagkakaisahan ninyo ako." Lumapit na rin ang ibang barkada.

"So this is a reunion... beachtime na sa weekend? Dating gawi..." singit ni Kent.

"Oh yeah... I really miss the fun... so ano guys lets plan it out?" Kirbey.

"Oo ba. Anyway, exam na this week so next weekend wala nang pressure. So guys, are you in or out?" Si Justin. Kaya lahat sigawan ng in. "Oh by the way Liz, you should come. Iiyak ang mga seashells dun pag hindi ka sumama and me too." Justin gave Liz a wink. Ano yun?

" sure, ikaw pa. Baka hindi ka makatulog mamaya pag malaman mong hindi ako sasama..." Liz stated and smiled at Justin.I glance at JC, he's seriously looking at Liz, bothered... Obvious ba.. napailing nalang ako and smile.
