CHAPTER ONE: SPRING OF MARCH

" our spring has finally begun "

March 20**

It's finally here. March. It's finally Spring in the states, and usually, when it's the spring season, things happen and one of them is falling in love. Ewan ko ba ang dami kong naaalala kapag March. I just like the fact that there's another season.

New clothes, new vibes, new things to do. One thing I hate though is exams. I kept asking myself kung bakit pa 'ko nag-enroll dito sa NEO samantalang puro matatalino, mayayaman, at mga sikat lang ang mga estudyante dito. My parents are paying way too many money for this and I'm not even studying. I'm not smart or intelligent but I try to get good grades that are enough for me to pass.

"Diana." tawag sa'kin ni Ryland na nasa tabi ko.

I sighed at lumingon para harapin siya. Nakangiti siya sa'kin habang dala-dala yung pinabili ko sa kanyang siopai sa canteen na'min.

Ryland is a friend, kahit na iba ang section na'min, naging magkaibigan pa rin kami. I usually hang out with my classmates, pero nagpromise si Ryland na ililibre niya 'ko. So, I agreed immediately. It's free food!

"Thank you my favorite friend~" I smiled at kinuha ang siopai sa kamay niya agad sabay upo sa harap niya.

"Tsk. Yan ba ang sinasabi mo sa lahat ng mga kaibigan mo at pati na rin yung mga kaklase mo?"

"No... hindi kaya..." I smirked, tearing up the wrapper of the siopao.

Matagal na kaming magkaibigan ni Ryland kahit na minsan 'di kami pareho nang section, ang sad nga lang dahil the only time we could hang out is recess, lunch, or after-school. Pero sinusubukan naman na'ming magkita, we're not just going to let our section and schedule end our friendship.

"Nasaan pala si Zeron?" I was talking about Brent, akala ko nga makikikain siya kasama na'ming dalawa pero baka kasama niya yung bago niyang girlfriend.

"Kasama sina kuya Jaxon at Yael..."

"Ah... yung mga kuya mo..."

Kahit na matagal na kaming magkaibigan ni Ryland, hinding hindi ko pa nakita o nakilala yung dalawa niyang kapatid na matanda nang isang taon. Believe it or not, the two older brothers are twins pero fraternal, and then after that, their mother tried again and ended up getting twins again.

The two older brothers first and then Ryland and Brent, fraternal pareho. It's fascinating, Manuel brothers are something else.

"Ayaw mo bang kumain kasama sila?"

"Ayoko nga... baka ano pang sabihin nila sa'yo about sa'kin."

"Takot ka lang kasi aasarin ka na'ming apat~" asar ko sa kanya.

He threw the fry at me without any hesitation and I did the same exact thing. Natawa na lang kami sa isa't-isa. Kung normal lang siguro na school 'to kanina pa kami nagbugbugang dalawa ni Ryland, we study in NEO kaya hanggang tapunan lang kami nang french fries.
