CHAPTER TEN: BLOOM
" you were simply a flower back then but it seems like you've become a rose that everyone wants to pick... "
Out of all the Manuel brothers, Yael was known for being the kind one, the compassionate, the Mr. Nice Guy. He is definitely the human version of a Good Guy in anyone's dictionary. But that's the image that he uses to protect his true self, he doesn't think that he's a good guy at all, he believes that he has done many, many, bad things that will totally put a contradiction against his good guy beliefs.
For him, being a good guy is being normal in this school. After all, this school is full of famous celebrities, children of many businessmen there is, but him and his brothers came from a normal family compared to these students, so he'd like to keep this good guy image for himself if that is what it takes to be normal in this school.
For years, he thought that his brothers and his mother are the only people who could completely understand him and his thoughts. It doesn't matter what he does or what he had done, they would understand him... but one thing that no one understood about him was his pain.
His pain for falling for the wrong girl, how could he even tell anyone the truth? It will ruin everything, his family, and... his relationship with Sophia, he couldn't risk it.
And it was too painful for him, and no one could fully understand this pain of being in love with the one person that he could never have.
Until now.
"You're in pain, Yael. Alam ko. Alam ko ang lahat, alam ko."
Yael was both confused but... he felt odd. He wondered why Diana is looking at her this way, but he knew it meant something... something really odd.
"You are in love with Sophia."
His eyes widen, his jaw dropped and he felt as if everything was ruined without even knowing how and why... she knew, how she found out... there were a lot of questions.
The first thing he thought was to perhaps beg Diana to not tell anyone, but when he learned that she knew from the very beginning she watch him stare at Sophia with such pain in his eyes, he then understood what the expression from her face meant.
She is also in pain just like him. She's not hurting because he doesn't feel the same way for her, she's hurting because she doesn't like seeing him in so much pain, and Yael then realized something at that very moment.
"Give me a chance... Yael...
"...or I'll tell Ryland and Jaxon the truth."
No, you won't. You won't tell anyone, Diana. He thought.
Because he knew Diana, despite only being friends with her for almost a year, he knew that she was not going to tell her brothers at all. She understood him, she understood everything without even asking him, and he realized it, he really did.
He realized that Diana is a good person, she's a good woman.
Maybe, maybe Diana would help her. Diana liked him for who he is, for what he is, and even after learning the truth, she still likes him. There was no one who could like him this much until her, and then he thought maybe... maybe... Diana is the one.

Hindi ako mapakali, namimiss ko siya. Namimiss ko si Yael, I really miss him, too much. I remember Chandria told me that I would forget Yael once he graduates kasi 'di ko na siya makikita araw-araw pero mas lalo lang lumala yung nararamdaman ko sa kanya.
