Benji POV

Zero wasn't in school Monday, totally understandable since he just buried his mom and sister. I texted him once to make sure he was fine but he didn't reply. He's going through a lot so I'm trying to give him space and not intrude too much.

I still can't believe we kissed. I have no idea what I was on the day I asked to kiss him but I somehow gained the courage to ask him. My heart was beating faster than a racecar but I still asked and he said yes.

I can't stop thinking about him, he likes me! That's crazy, how? How did I literally get the most outrageously beautiful guy on this planet to kiss me back? He's my favorite person and he kissed me back.

It's Tuesday morning and I hope that he comes to school today cause I really want to see him. I walked inside the familiar building hearing all the chattering from the students.

It's early in the morning some of these students have way too much energy. I walked to my locker to put up some of the books I don't need for the first half of the school day.

Some of my friends spotted me and came to talk with me. Now, these guys are the real definition of having too much energy. They act like their high on energy drinks and coffee.

Anyways, as they were talking I noticed Zero walking into the building. He was walking a bit weird and I was just about to ditch my friends and go talk to him but then I saw Alex walk in with both his bag and Zeros in hand.

Ugh, that dude is really annoying. I would like to be his friend for Zero's sake but he has never liked me since day one.

He's talking to Zero and I really want to go up to them and grab Zeros hands. I still have my theory that he has a crush on him so I need him to know that Zero is mine.

I know we haven't made it official since it just happened but I really hope we can soon.

Then one of my friends snaps their fingers in front of my face in an attempt to get my attention.

"Yo I've been trying to get your attention for the longest where's your heads at, la-la land, shit. Anyways what I was trying to ask is do you think the new girl is..." She did the Limp wrist gesture as a way of asking if she was gay.

"How the hell I'm I suppose to know do I look like a fruit detector." I said and she and our other friends laughed.

"Besides you've dated every lesbian in this school you don't need to add anyone else to your collection of unfortunate breakups."

"Okay first of I also dated bi girls and pan, and some straight I don't even know how they joined the collection but I guess I'm just really good."

"Oh, whatever they usually only last a week." That wasn't even a joke. My friend has a bad history of not staying in long relationships with the people she dates.

"Okay, buddy your just jealous cause you've dated like what two girls since I've known you."She's not lying I barely date people and it's not that I can't cause a lot of girls have tried to talk to me, it's just that I've always had my eyes on someone else.

I turn back to see if Zero was still there but nope he wasn't. Dang, I really wanted to talk to him before class. Now I have to wait till lunch and Alex's big head ass had lunch with us.

I went to my classes like usual, ignoring the boring things the teachers were trying to teach us.

Unfortunately, I feel like school doesn't really educate us. At this point, teachers are just trying to shove random unnecessary facts down our throats so that we can pass a stupid test that's going to get us nowhere in life. Like how is knowing that mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell going to help me in the future?
