Part 12- Bento box.

Zero's POV

Second period comes to an end but before we left I asked Alex if I could see his schedule. "Why?" He questioned, as he searched through his stuff to find his schedule.

"So that I can see if we have any more classes together dumb ass." We always used to joke with each other like that. We kind of have that fake I hate you relationship even though we don't actually. We're kind of like siblings.

"Yeah, yeah whatever," he says as he hands me his schedule. "Okay so we have second period together, obviously, we have lunch together which is good for you, and we have last period together."

"Noooo, I have to see you more today, I can barely handle this period with you."

"Shut up Alex, come on." I laughed as I grabbed his shoulders to push him out into the hallway so that we can go to our next classes. His shoulder got a bit tense when I touched it but it loosens up after a bit.

"Welp this is your stop, see you at lunch French boy." I shoved him slightly as I walk away in a very dramatic girly way. I don't know why I just felt like it.

I feel a bit more at ease. The weight that was pushing down on my chest becoming more lighter. It's still there but the fact that Alex is back makes me happier. I've known him since kindergarten. His mom and my mom were friends so they always used to make us hang out together. He's kind of like my brother, annoying but I still love him.

It's crazy how earlier today I thought I was going to die and now I feel like dancing. I'm still kind of mad that he left without telling me but that's a problem for another day. Also, I still have to tell him the bad news about my mom and Zoe but I'm trying to push that down and forget about it for now. I just want to not worry for 5 seconds.

Please brain let me be happy for 5 seconds.

Benji's POV

It's lunchtime and I'm already waiting for Zero in the lunchroom. Since we talked that day he's been coming to the lunchroom with me but he's still focusing on doing his missing work. I do try to help him but I'm kind of dumb so I'm lost most of the time.

I see him walk in and he's talking to some random guy. He spots me and walks towards me. He has a smile on his face which makes me happy. I haven't seen one of those in a while.

"Hello Benji, Benjo, Bento box." he spoke excitedly as he sat across from me. "Guess whos back, back, back, back again, gain, gain Alex back back back, tell a friend, friend, friend." he said as he points to the guy sitting next to him.

"Did you just introduced me like that one Eminem song." the guy said.

"Yes, and what about it. Who gon check me. Anyways Benji do you remember Alex."

"Alex? You know I'm not good with names." I acted as if I didn't remember him even though I know good and well that I do. Alex and I were never really close. I don't think he likes me very much. He used to always make everything a competition especially when Zero was around.

"Alex, my friend Alex. The guy I've known since Kindergarten Alex. French Alex, you know oui oui baguette." he spoke as if he was surprised I didn't know him.

"Oh, your friend that left without telling you." I know that was shady but I saw Alex's face and he had this face of disbelief and sourness as if he was hoping I wasn't here.

"I know right, the balls on this guy. Anyway Alex this is my friend Benji his pretty much my Bento box. Bento Box give me some cookies." He reached over to grab some of the cookies that I always bring cause I know he likes them.
