Zero's POV
Lunch was normal. I talked, I made jokes, I laughed, and I even smiled. I did all this and I still felt the same.
Hopeless, empty, terrified, and miserable. My heart is constantly aching and I don't see an end. I feel hollow and empty.
"Zero are you spending the night at my house today too." Alex asked but before I was able to even reply Benji interjected.
"No, he's not." He then turns to look at me, "I didn't know that you were over his house yesterday."
"Umm...yea it just kind of happened."
"Why are you answering for him I didn't ask you." Alex said aggravated.
Benji looked back at him and I could tell that they both wanted to rip each others throat out.
I honestly don't have the time for this today. I'm way too exhausted for their stupid rival and honestly, I feel like I could just drop down and fall asleep right now.
Heated voices of students laughing and chattering amongst their friends echoed through the lunchroom. It's chaotic as always and Benji and Alex arguing aren't helping with the headache I'm having right now. To be quite frank with you I wouldn't be surprised if they start fighting.
Their not even paying any attention to me anymore so I used this opportunity to leave the lunchroom. I walked out as quickly as possible grabbing my bag.
I just want to be alone. I need silence so that hopefully this headache gets better. I walked to the library cause that's the only place I know would be quiet.
I found a little corner where you couldn't easily spot me. Books surrounded me on the shelves and I sat down Crisscross on the floor hissing a bit from the pain that still lingers.
I grabbed a random book so that I don't look suspicious and pretended to read. The book must have been boring cause before I knew it I was getting waken by a random girl.
"Hey wake up schools over." she said as she gently tapped my shoulders.
She looked concerned. I've seen her around a few times before but we never spoke. She has a messy ponytail with pieces flying out in the front and back. She also has these really cute Harry potter looking glasses that makes her look adorable.
"Oh sorry." I said as I stood up dusting my pants before picking up my bag and phone.
"It's fine, umm, are you okay."
"Yeah, yeah, I- I umm, just lost track of time." I turned on my phone to see multiple messages from both Alex and Benji.
Where are you?
Are you okay?
Answer your phone.
Did you leave?
Why aren't you in class?
Your car is still in the parking lot at CVS do you want me to drive you there?
Are you ignoring me?
"Umm thank you I have to go bye." I said to the girl and I darted out the building. I called Benji and he picked up.
"Hello. Zero where the hell are you? I've been looking for you everywhere."
"Sorry I-"
"It's fine where are you? Are you okay?" He asked frantically.
"I'm still at school." I didn't answer his second question because I already lie enough to him. I don't want to say that I'm fine when actually I feel like an empty shell walking around with a fake smile on and my fucked up mind trying to convince me to off myself.
