My plan was simple, once Lakshmi Kaki leaves for her weekly grocery shopping, I'll call the gatekeeper with some emergency and lead him to the guest room by making some excuse and leave without anyone noticing. Lakshmi Kaki usually takes 2 hours to come back as she also visits the temple, and I'll be back before her so that no one will know about my absence for an hour or so.

But here I am waiting for 1 hour for Lakshmi Kaki to leave so that I can carry on with my plan.

As I was about to lose all hope for the second time today, Lakshmi Kaki was on her way to the door to leave. She informed me of her departure before going. I waited for 15 mins and then called the gatekeeper Suresh.

"Hello, Suresh. Can you please come and help me carry some luggage? It's urgent and the bag is too heavy for me to carry" I tried to make it sound genuine and important.

"But Mam, there is no one else to watch the gate. I cannot leave the gates unattended. Can you please give me 20 minutes? Another guard will be back from his lunch and I'll be able to come then."

"Suresh, it's urgent, otherwise I wouldn't have asked you. Anyways I'll tell Abhimanyu you were too busy that you refused to help me"

"No Mam, do not call Abhimanyu Sir. I am coming right now."

Phew... Finally, Now I just have to lead him in the guestroom and leave the house without him noticing.

I heard the doorbell ring and opened the door nervously.

"Hi Ishita Mam, please direct me to the luggage you need help with. I need to leave soon since there is no one guarding the gate," he said hurriedly.

"Yeah sure, this way. It's in the guestroom, the one above the cupboard. You go get it, I'll just grab my phone from the table and be there." I say the first excuse that comes to my mind hoping he had not seen the phone in my pocket.

As soon as he enters the guestroom I make my way towards the main road. I see the uber waiting for me which I called 5 mins ago at a distance from the main gate of Abhimanyu's mansion. I release a breath of relief once I am sure no one is following and enjoy the freedom.
