*Abhimanyu's POV*
And we both know why I left last night. Why am I even here? I thought you'll be celebrating once I leave. After all, that is what you wanted right?
Ishita's question from last night is still ringing in my head. I cannot figure out the reason why I went to find her the night she left me with divorce papers. As she said, I should have been happy. But I was not, I am not able to understand what I was feeling.
I don't understand how she can occupy most of my thoughts. There is no doubt that she has changed a lot since I saw her three years ago. Her hair is longer than before, almost reaching her waist. But her eyes are as vivid as ever. Yesterday when she was looking at me in the eyes, it felt like she was able to see right through me and that scared me to the core. I was feeling a strong urge to kiss the luscious lips of my wife.
'Wife' how weird I never thought that she would be my wife. I used to wish for this in my college. Now I know better. I know the kind of person she is. She is the one who lures you in her trap and than stab you on the back. You'll never see what's happening until it's too late. Now that I am married to her, I don't know how to handle myself around her. Seeing her I either feel like kissing the hell out of her or killing her. There is no in-between thus I hardly spend time at home. I sleep on the sofa in my office most of the time and leave for the home only after midnight so that I don't have to face her.
But I can't resist seeing her asleep peacefully in her room. Yes, I know it is creepy to watch someone while sleeping. But she is my wife, my responsibility, so I make sure to check on her before leaving for the office and after going home.
I hear the knock on my office doors which brings me back from my thoughts.
"Sir, you have a lunch meeting with Khurana's," my secretary reminded me.
"Yes, I am leaving. I'll go back home after this meeting so clear my schedule." saying this I leave for the restaurant where the lunch meeting is scheduled.
*****
It has been an hour and the meeting is still going on. I was busy listening to the proposal when I dropped the coffee mug and spilled the coffee on my pants.
I excuse myself from the table and go to the washroom to remove the stain. Just as I was about to reach the washroom I saw Ishita sitting in the corner with some guy. Her hands were covering his hands on the table. They seem very close to each other.
"Firstly, Ouch. Secondly, you know that there was nothing I could have done to stop my dad from getting me married. He tricked me to come here and left no space for arguments." Ishita says sadly to the guy sitting with her.
She has her back faced in my direction so she is not able to see me. Before listening any further I turn around forgetting about the stain and the burning sensation due to hot coffee. All I can feel right now is anger radiating off me.
I dismiss the meeting and head straight home. I wanted to just grab her and take her with me but I refrain from doing so as I didn't want to make any scene in front of my clients.
Not only did she leave the house when I specifically asked her not to but she left to meet a guy. Maybe he was her boyfriend otherwise she wouldn't have been explaining herself to him. Maybe this was the reason she was so eager to leave me.
