Abhimanyu's POV
"Look at how she talks. She doesn't have any manners when talking to elders." Bua Ji exclaimed as soon as Ishita left.
Honestly, I don't think she did anything wrong. In fact, I was wondering why she didn't respond to Bua ji's insults earlier.
"Didi, I am requesting you to drop the matter here. Do you wish to leave? Okay, we'll leave but please eat something. And please stop blaming Ishita for everything." Maa said
"You think I am blaming her Shashi? Didn't you see how she talked to me? I tell you that girls like her are just a taint in the family. Abhimanyu, even you might be thinking that I am wrong here but you need to control her before everything goes down the drain. You'll thank me one day once you follow my advice." Bua ji said.
"Bua ji enough, I have been observing you that you have been taunting her since yesterday but she didn't say a word to you. You didn't appreciate her then and when finally she is standing up for herself you want to blame her." I replied. "And anyways she didn't say anything wrong, respect is everyone not just elders. Maa I have ordered dinner from a very good vegetarian restaurant. Please you both eat something. We'll see about leaving tomorrow." I said as I left the living room.
I entered the bedroom carrying a box of pizza with me. Remembering our earlier conversation, I made sure to knock on the door this time and entered when heard a faint reply of "come in" from Ishita.
"If you are angry at me for talking back to Buaji please save your lecture. I am really not in the mood to hear anything else," she said.
"I-I... I just came to ask you to eat something. And you stood up for yourself so you don't need to worry about anyone getting angry at you." I replied while putting the pizza box on the coffee table near the TV. I turned to find Ishita looking at me with written all over her face.
"I have ordered Pizza for us. Hope that's okay with you." I know she likes fast food so I ordered Pizza for her separately while ordering food for Maa and Buaji. I was confused while ordering not sure if she wanted Pizza, Burger, or fries. I have ordered all but bought only pizza here. I didn't want it to look extra.
"Yeah, it's okay... A-And thank you for you know... what you said just now." Ishita said. I took a slice of pizza while browsing for something to watch while eating. I paused for a second on Main Hoon na remembering yesterday's fight. Times like these make me remember the old Ishita, one I used to like.
