Chapter 31

*Ishita's POV*

I wasted no time to leave the meeting room. It was difficult to sit next to Abhimanyu after being so close to kissing him. What was I thinking?

Nothing, you just wanted to get a taste of him, my inner voice replied sarcastically.

I really need to get myself checked. I decided to submit my joining papers but couldn't find them thinking that maybe I left it in the meeting room I went back to check.

Just as I opened the door, I saw Abhimanyu staring at the joining papers with hate as if hoping for it to burn with his stare. Suddenly he picked up a pen and started to write something on it.

"What are you doing?" he went stiff hearing my voice.

"You will write your current name, Mrs Saxena. Just because you are my wife you don't get to cheat the company"

"I am not cheating the company. Am I married to you? sadly yes but my name is still Ishita Malhotra on papers. All of my documents have this name." saying this I snatched the papers from his hand.

Abhimanyu muttered something to himself

I checked the papers and saw that he has cut my surname. I grabbed the pen and wrote Singania on it again.

"I already told you I am not going to use Saxena's name anywhere." saying this I left the conference room and went straight to HR office.

After submitting my documents I returned back to my desk to see a bunch of files with a note

I want you to complete all these files before you leave.

I started working immediately. One hour into the work and there was still so much left to do. Looking at the clock I noticed it was 4:00 pm. I missed my breakfast in the morning since I was getting late for work and now I have missed my lunch too. Abhimanyu has been in his office this entire time so I believe he has missed his lunch too. My stomach groned and I decided to quickly grab something to eat from the cafeteria.

The cafeteria was mostly empty since it was way past lunch time. There were just few people sipping their evening coffee or tea with some snacks. Picking sandwich for myself I thought to order the same for Abhimanyu as well.

I knocked Abhimanyu's office and again there was no response. Thinking that he might be engrossed in his work again I turn the door knob and peeked inside.

"May I come In, Sir" I said and saw that there was a women in his office, Both of them were standing too close and they looked like there were caught doing something wrong. Well Abhimanyu looked like he was caught but the women looked angry like I disturbed her.

"I.. I bought... I am sorry" I quickly left.
