CHAPTER FOUR: *Edited*

After I went to my room all I can think of is what happened? Why did he fight with someone? Whom did he fight with? And most importantly why did he ask me that question with so much hatred?

"Why did you agree to marry me, Ishita?" These words were ringing in my ears repeatedly.

I have many questions in my mind and I'm dying to ask him, but I don't get to see him in his own damn house. My brain will blast from thinking so much. So, I have decided I'll visit his office today. There is no other choice left. I waited a whole week to talk to him. But he is never home.

Today is Monday. I waited till Sunday expecting he would be home on Sunday. But he didn't show up on Sunday either. So now I'm going to talk to him today in his office.

Now here I'm standing in front of the Saxena multinational company. The building is huge. 'Saxena' was written in big golden cursive handwriting on the entrance. I make my way towards the reception. Behind the reception desk, a girl is typing on the computer with a bored expression on her face. It was obvious she was not enjoying whatever she was doing. I walked towards the reception and she didn't seem to notice me for a while so I had to bang my hand on the desk to get her attention. She looked me up and down, clearly judging me.

"What do you want?" she asked in a bored tone looking at the computer.

"I want to meet Mr. Abhimanyu Saxena" She again looked up and down at me rolling her eyes.

"He is in a meeting. Do you have an appointment?" I get it that she didn't like this job, but her voice's tone was irritating me now.

"Well, I can see it's a no so I can schedule you after... let me see" She acted to see something on her computer before saying "2 months from now" she is enjoying this.

"Oh, is that so?" I fake a disappointed look. "Well, can you give me an appointment after 2 months?" I asked, smiling sweetly. She looked shocked at first after muttering whatever she started typing on her computer.

"Name?" she asked.

"Ishita Saxena" I replied with a smirk.

Her eyes widened as fear took over her attitude.

"M-Mrs. Na-Saxena" she shuttered.

"Yes?" I asked sweetly again.

"I am so sorry. I didn't mean to disrespect you, please forgive me" she said in a shaky voice.

I sighed and nodded "Where is Abhimanyu?" I asked now in no mood for the drama.

"Sir is upstairs. 10th floor, first office to the left." She replied.

I muttered thanks and moved towards the elevators. After what seemed like forever, I reached the 10th floor. I turned left.

When I was a foot away from his office, I heard Abhimanyu who sounded aggravated and anguished which made me pull back on my feet.

"For god's sake Vedh you of all people know why I hate her. You were the one to show me who she is. After what you told me I hate her from the bottom of my heart. It's like God is punishing me for my bad deeds that she is my wife now. The girl I hate the most in the world is my fucking wife. And I hate my father for this, for bringing her into my life. Only if my father knew that he was asking me to marry the girl who was addressed as a slut, whore, and whatnot in the college. I tried my best to stop this but everything I tried worked against me. And I'm stuck in this damn partnership marriage now. She is the reason I don't go to my own freaking house because I can't stand her. I hate her more when I see her face." Abhimanyu shouted.

I wanted to run away from here. Every word he said broke my heart into a thousand pieces. I was about to leave but the next words gained my interest and I stopped once again.

"Then why did you beat the man commenting sexy on her picture in the magazine." The voice which I guess belongs to Vedh said.

"Because..." There was a pause as if he was thinking about the reason. "Because I was there to drink and forget about her and he reminded me of her existence in my life," Abhimanyu said.

After hearing his words which sliced my heart into a million pieces, I quickly left the office without bothering to talk to him. For which I came here in the first place.
