"Are you falling in love?" Johnny asked in judgement, watching his sister sip through the glass of ice-cold water by the counter.

That beta squinted her eyes almost immediately, raking on her mind for a more appropriate description of whatever her feelings were about.

Love? Big word, she scoffed, placing the glass down with a small click.

"Does falling in like work?"

The pure alpha's brows raised in surprise, having to get his mind working on what to answer.

"Uh, sure?" he doubted.

"Yeah? I mean, it's nearly impossible, but it is. Do you get me?" she blabbered, just earning a nod. "I mean, falling in love with—"

"Crush. You can say it as a crush, Chohee." Johnny pressed, having a mental breakdown from his sister's choice of words.

"But I crush him a looot." Chohee huffed, dropping her chin dreamily on her propped-up palm.

Johnny just rolled his eyes, deciding to just go on with the girl's vocabulary because there's no way he can make it change.

"I wonder if he's alright."

Having her eyes directly land on her brother's serious figure in front, her eyes beamed in sparkles, making the male's brow raise.

"What do you do in a rut?"

That made the pure alpha choke in his own saliva—so bad and sudden that his co-worker Sicheng had to pat his back.

Chohee, openly excited and confused at the same time, just stared at his brother, who's struggling to keep himself alive at the moment.

"You can't just ask like that!"

"Why not? I thought we were in an open-minded generation."

"Yeah, but that doesn't mean you could just switch the topic like that!" Johnny glared. "You scare me sometimes."

"Whatever. So answer?"

"I take medicines; why? Expect me to hook up?"

"Yeah, well, there's many hot guys around here every day."

"I'm straight," he hissed.

"As a circle? Sure, let's have a little throwback as to why you started this gay bar."

Wearing a sly smirk, the beta claimed her win when the pure alpha turned his back and entertained new customers.

Truly boosted up, Chohee continued to sip on her glass, feeling the coolness of the liquid roll on her throat like the most refreshing soda.

Her system was off of alcohol for the first time this week, yet she never felt like craving it like a vampire craves blood.
