CHAPTER 27

Chohee skipped excitedly with a wide smile and a little bounce on her steps when their last class of the morning ended. The twins are just trailing behind her, trying to keep up with the bubbly energy that they don't know the reason for.

All they knew was that something big happened, but the girl refused to spill the tea all throughout the continuous discussion.

Hyunjin decided to pick up his pace and reach for her shoulder, immediately stopping her tracks and turning her around.

"The exit gate is in the opposite direction," he jabbed his thumb on the path across.

"About that!" Chohee only giggled and intently looked at them. "I'm going to the cafeteria.".

"Why? You said you're sick of the food." Yeji joined

"Well, Jisung," she mumbled, inaudible for the two who stood much closer to her.

"You're saying?"

Chohee sighed and proudly said, "Jisung is waiting for me in the cafeteria."

There is a small pause in between them, the twins sharing a look for a second, and baam, their eyes narrowed at her.

"Chohee? Didn't you say you're both done?" Yeji asked with a warning smile, her voice raising in a taunting manner.

The said beta just flashed a sheepish smile. "We kind of fixed everything yesterday."

"What happened yesterday?" Hyunjin was intrigued.

"That... I can't tell you."

Both raised a brow and nodded.

"Alright, let's go," Yeji said, walking ahead at a fast pace.

Hyunjin turned her around and pushed her to follow. Chohee was yelping and trying to get off track, but the male just firmly held her shoulders to keep her in place.

The doors of the cafeteria automatically opened, with the three passing through and easily spotting the pure alpha.

Chohee's heart skipped a beat—both happy to see him again and nervous about what the other two would do.

Sure, betas aren't a close challenger for an alpha- a pure alpha as that. But the two acted like they would beat the male so seriously.

Their close presence allowed the male patiently sitting to spot them, his face shifting confusedly when he saw that Chohee wasn't alone.

His eyes changed darkly, though, seeing the male beta holding his beta.

Once in front of him, the twins casually took a seat, with Yeji pulling the pouting younger in between them when she was about to round at the alpha's side.

"What did you do yesterday?" Yeji asked, too sudden and straightforward for the alpha's state.

Jisung's eyes widened in a fraction as he quizzically looked at Chohee.

The said girl just flashed an apologetic smile, which he replied with an assuring one, like he's saying it's okay.
