Falling straight onto her bed, Chohee's stomach magically pushed the craving away in a dash, blood boiling and fists crumpling the sheets as her eyes continuously released her most hated thing.

Tears.

Even her pillows knew about that, and one drop of it makes her feel useless and weak. It frustrates her the most that she would search for meditation techniques to just calm herself.

Today's different, though, not like she expected anything.

A single mention of their names immediately made her system freeze. Like ice rushing through every bone, leaving her mind cruising through every bit of memory stored in the back of her head.

Burns, bruises, scarred skin, all the teasing, traumatizing words—pain, school.

"Those were your bullies, weren't they?"

Johnny's voice passed by her hearing after the clicking of her doorknob, making her curl more underneath her duvet, thankful that her back was facing him.

"Chohee."

"I'm sleeping," she choked out, her voice cracked and shaky.

"Yeah, right," the man rolled his eyes, closing her door. "Ice cream?"

Shaking her head, Johnny sighed, walking closer to her bed as he directly dove in. His sudden weight startled the beta, making her shriek and squirm.

"John!"

"Go out for ice cream with me," he whined, wriggling his body like a worm.

"Seriously!" she huffed, struggling to yank his upper body above her.

"Seo Choheeeee"

"Seo Youngho! You giant heavy bitch."

"Oho! I heard that!" he put on a warning voice, his lips flashing a wide, playful smile. "Come on, ice cream, ice cream, ice cream!" he spoke like a mantra, continuously wriggling and bouncing like a child.

"Ugh, fine!" Chohee exclaimed in defeat. "Tomorrow. And you owe me tequila."

That made the male roll off happily and land on the huge space beside her, sitting cross-legged with an excited face. "Call! But just one glass, and I'll charge you for extra."

"Capitafuckinglism"

"Hey, that's business," he pouted and reached to pinch both her cheeks, chuckling at her face. "There you smiled."

"Shtop it!" she slapped his hands away and placed a pillow on her face, hiding her current state. "You may get out."

"I already saw those red puffy eyes and stained cheeks that you're so sick of; you don't need to hide, Chohee."

"You don't understand."

"Yes, I may not understand what it really feels like, but I do understand that you need someone to wipe those tears for you."

"I can do it myself, thank you."

"Make you smile again?"

"I will be fine tomorrow."
