A cup of a warm summer morning, a calm highway, and a surprised meeting.

It was finally the start of the 2-month retake classes, where two students met in front of Tantiana State University.

There's this girl wearing a cute beige button-up shirt, paired with light denim jeans and white sneakers. Then a boy wearing a plain black shirt, tucked in denim pants, and completed with white trainers.

One in a small, fresh smile, while the other in a completely surprised face.

In short, it was unexpected but plainly destined.

I mean, things you do for love, right?

"Good morning, Jisungie!"

"Seo Chohee"

The said girl just beamed a smile and hopped close to him, then clung to his arm as she excitedly giggled.

"I thought you're home—"

"Let's go!"

And she dragged him in.

Okay, a little flashback.

That night of the two's last encounter at Cherry High, Chohee was basically running through the front door while wailing for everyone like a living megaphone.

And when she successfully pulled everyone out of the living room, her sudden words shocked them all.

"I'M GOING TO SCHOOL THIS SUMMER!"

Yes, she did. And her parents? Well... SPEECHLESS.

I mean, who won't? Dropping out of school at fourth grade, paying for years of therapies, fighting from the scars of bullying, and having to go to homeschool ever since aren't easy.

"You came from Cherry High, right? Let's get you cleaned up, honey."

"Mom, I'm serious."

"You're just bored, okay?"

"Dad, I really am serious."

And her firm tone really just gives out everything.

She sported a serious look, eyes directed and not wavering, and a steady posture.

The parents shared a knowing look, and the man faced back at their daughter with a worried gaze.

"Tell me, did something happen?"

Park Jisung happened; she wanted to say it out loud but masked the temptation with a reassuring smile.

"Can I go to school?"

"But you never wanted to before?" Nari pointed out.

"And I know you're all thinking about me going too." Chohee sighed. "Well, I do, and I want to now?"

"This is so sudden, Chohee." Yoobin frowned. "Yeah, we do, but we know that you're still not ready."
