The time is continuously ticking, and the sun is setting down.
The skies are shifting from a bright yellow glow to cherry sunflowers to faint midnight blues.
Chohee glanced at the wall clock situated on top of the television shelf inside the Park's living room.
5:55 PM. Her mom said to stay a little after eating, and her dad promised to go home before the sun sets. But where are they now? In the backyard, chatting and drinking. Strictly forbidding her to drink a drip.
So here she is, alone, sipping her ninth glass of apple juice, sitting like a drunk madam on the elegant white couch.
"Finally," a voice suddenly came in, startling her.
Jisung faced her with a breathy chuckle, settling on the sofa placed diagonally on where she sat.
She raised a brow, and the male looked like he wanted to get his voice out to talk.
Jisung sighed. "How are you?"
The sudden question made her scoff, downing the glass of juice like a shot glass.
"How are you?" she snorted. "Really, Jisung? Well, I'm very fine, you?"
"Great?"
"Great? Okay, good to know." She then looked away.
Jisung zipped his lips in a thin line, watching the beta look everywhere but at him.
Honestly, there's nothing good and entertaining around the spot.
The noise in the backyard reaching the living room is the only sound lacing around the air. As well as their slow, controlled breaths and the different paces of their heartbeat.
The clock struck 6 just like that. Wasted minutes in silence—nothing.
Chohee is trying so hard to ignore him. To not disappoint him, to not cross the line, to grant his wish for her to stay away.
Jisung is trying so hard to form a conversation. To fix whatever they have now, to cross the line, to bring the playful Chohee back to him.
Anyone would take the opportunity to push the two against each other, either having their heads bump for their minds to work or having their hearts bump to notice how it nervously beat.
But nobody is there—only them. Only for them to push themselves and possibly start over.
Maybe Jisung can't form any words to start a conversation again, so he acted. He let his strength dominate her stubborn body and pulled her to him.
Chohee yelled, the force dragging her to get up and settle in a new spot.
His lap.
Their faces flushed and their ears reddened when they thought of their position.
Chohee is sitting sideways, hands pushed on his chest, while the pure alpha keeps his hold on her waist. Both can't look at each other.
