Without much of a hassle, the two separated at the bus stop with a beaming wave from the beta and a nod from the pure alpha after digging some burger meals.

It is safe to say that the whole friendly date thing that Chenle quoted ended shorter than Jisung expected, now trudging on their front door with shoulders slumped.

Heavy steps as he dragged his feet through the front hallway and onto the living room, his tracks immediately halted after seeing two figures cleaning.

One is sweeping the floor, while the other is wiping the figurines.

"Mom? Dad?" His jaw dropped.

"Oh my, MY JISUNGIIEEEE!"

"How's school?" Seola started as she placed a mug of hot chocolate on his son's table.

Jisung gulped down his food before scrunching his nose. "Uhh, fine?" he doubted.

"Not very fine, I guess," Myung teased, which earned a light slap on his arm from his wife. "What? Let me guess, Math? Oh dear son, it's okay, you take a lot from me."

"Park Myung!" Seola scolded, sending her deadly warnings through her pheromones and facing the boy with a smile. "Do you need help with anything?"

"Umm, I do need one, but..." he sighed. "Our final examination just ended, and I think I could get some extra classes."

"Summer?"

A little scared for his life, he slowly nodded, his lips zipping tight and his hands clamping on his lap as a habit. "I'm sorry."

"Oh," Myung just pats his head with a reassuring smile. "It's alright, you take after me."

"I swear to pearlgods," Seola said, taking an annoyed sigh yet never having a heart to burst at his son, who's flashing such an adorable gummy smile to hide his mistake.

Well, lucky for Jisung, he knows that everything about him is a weakness to his parents, especially for his mother, so he added a happy-eyed smile and a peace sign to bury his mom's anger completely.

"You'll be the death of me," she said, yet I couldn't help but chuckle. "Alright, we'll send you to summer classes if your school requests a retake. Say, what subject?"

"Mmm, English and math?"

"Honey! He does take after me; I'm crying!"

"I SEAR TO ALL THE READERS, PARK MYUNG, YOU SLEEP ON THE SOFA!"

Oh geez, not the sofa. Jisung can just giggle and happily watch his parents go Tom and Jerry while he successfully escapes the scolding session.
