Jisung and Chohee spent breakfast at the convenience store near the university, hitting their chips, banana milk, and noodle date, full of random topics and overlapping laughter.

The beta's parents had gone early for work, leaving a note and money on the refrigerator. Johnny is drop-drunk in the living room, owning the whole sofa for his tall ass.

Nevertheless, the couple were more than happy to spend time together, entering the campus with interlaced hands and matching white shirts and sweatpants, which the pure alpha had stored in the beta's wardrobe ever since the start of daily tutoring lessons.

Jisung had dropped Chohee off in her class first, and he is now walking to his.

Her sweet words are still burning the alpha's mind, and though he can't remember the whole speech, his heart still leaps whenever he catches a single word popping.

His plan to know the girl's past is still a mystery to him, as is her relationship with Kang Rua.

Speaking of the omega, he spotted Rua standing against the wall in front of their classroom.

Jisung forced himself not to gaze in her direction, keeping his pace directed toward their usual noisy classroom, until she showed up in front of him.

"Have you eaten yet? We still have fifteen minutes."

"I already did," he deadpanned and swerved to the space, but she blocked again.

"Jisung–"

"What are you doing exactly?" he snapped, looking down on her with dark, serious gazes.

He felt a shocking fear laced on her scent that moment, though she was fast enough to shrug off with a more calming one.

Rua smiled and said, "I just want to be friends with you."

"Why?"

"What do you mean, why?"

"We're good before and after the group work, Rua. Then you pulled Chohee between it, and now you're trying to be friends? Why?" he pushed further, the continuous questions making the omega hesitating to answer.

Jisung forced a sigh, his displeased pheromones freely giving out the idea of how he hated the conversation.

He noticed the chaos of the classroom died down too; he just realized that all eyes are now on them.

Jisung gave a last glance at the omega. More like a glare, then trudged to his seat.

He immediately settled comfortably and stuffed his ears with his airpods, though his face tells a lot about how pissed he is.

Jisung was glad that no one had approached him until their math teacher arrived, and he just focused on it.
