Helloooo from your friendly author currently on a brief Haitus!

Before we begin, I said this ONCE, and I'll say it AGAIN

No one in this story, has a specific race other than the house they were assigned to.

"But Ryley, aren't you Puerto Rican?"

As a child, Spanish was forbidden from my household because my birth family feared learning my language and culture would make me slow and unable to easily assimilate with American culture. Spanish foods, traditions, and comforts were stripped from me and now I have no culture to call my own. I'm too dark to be white-passing like the rest of my family and too whitewashed to fit in with my own beautiful people.

In memory of the loss of my own culture, I honor others in the eyes of my characters.

Kailea was originally known as Bridgeport, an island that served as a refuge to billions of people who were seeking asylum from their home countries. Well known for being the most technologically advanced country in the world and a bridge between cultures

It became a melting pot, and while I can't even trace the triplet's race lineage because of Tristan and Alexei's unknown family lines.

I know there's a lot of Japanese/Korean/Spanish/Indian/pacific islander/ but I couldn't tell you the percentage.

Their language, called Alohowa, is a mix of Japanese, Samoan, Hawaiian, and Spanish.

Anyway, if you or I were to live on Kailea, you would have the last name of your house as a sort of title like...

"Hi, I am Ryley Kalem Xavier of Crimson, My race is Crimson,"

So with the Ai No Shiro (Festival of Love) coming up where everyone on Kailea attends the festival in their traditional house dress of all different colors. (For ex, Lotus doesn't have to wear purple kimonos)

I'm here to give you the full tour! With what house would you like to attend the Anu Ball with and what color would you wear?
