"I'm extending the apologies Alpha, but the Reaper is currently at an emergency, you can wait-"

"Take me to him,"

I command of the armored guard who rapidly blinks at my bizarre request while I look at the time on my watch. It's almost eleven in the morning which means Cas shouldn't even be here right now.

"Right, uh this way your highness," the guard quickly leads me back to a heavy metal door where both of our biometrics are scanned before we enter a long hallway that seems to never end. The sign pointing the directions to the four different wings on each floor as we keep going. I follow with my hands behind my back, wondering what held Casper here, hoping it's not our father.

A bloodied man on a metallic gurney is quickly rushed past us by two nurses who don't even bother sparing me a second glance. The man looked like he was cut up pretty bad and I wonder if it had anything to do with my workaholic husband.

"What is the emergency you said the Reaper was tending to?" I ask as the guard leads us to an elevator and the doors open with the scan of his wrist.

"A dangerous prisoner was able to kill two guards and escape on level eight, your highness. The reaper is taking care of the problem," He explains and I nervously clear my throat.

There are ten floors to the crimson prison, all underground with the heavier crimes closest to the bottom. Level ten having three total cells as a torture chamber where those who are punished to torture for long periods of time before their eventual death are sent. The last person to be sent there was Beta Oro.

The elevator alerts us of our smooth descent to level 8 as it stops and there's a loud screaming followed by the bang of some kind of weapon. But it doesn't scare me, because Cas isn't scared right now so he must be fine. Right?

Unless he's too exhausted to be scared.

The doors roll open with a silent woosh and the copper scent of blood is thick in the air with the guard leading me now drawing his weapon. I press my finger to my lips to silence him and he nods as the two of us slide into the hallway which split in two directions. I look at the guard and together we decide to go right, which leads us down the darker side. The white lights flickering after being shot out with the glass littering the floor followed by trails of blood.

None of which smells like my mate, so I continue walking, unbothered as we turn once again down to the lane of cells. The way this floor worked was two parallel hallways separated by a courtyard at its center. Each part is separated by a clear wall of tempered glass.

Within the courtyard, the dark Crimson reaper was on his knees before a shaky prisoner with his gun drawn and placed on the reapers neck. Five bodies laid strewn around them, with two still moving and groaning with pain.
