This is part TWO of the same book under the same title.
Tora never asked to be a Lunos and he certainly didn't ask for three mates.
***
As the weakest member of his house, Tora has always been a lone wolf. He's never been the smartest, the bravest...

My foot anxiously tapped against the floor as I sat in my chair, unable to sleep like Casper and Micah who easily curled up together in comfort on the small cot beside me. I can't say I wasn't shocked when I walked into the room and Casper didn't stop me with another punch to the face.
Not that I didn't deserve it, I deserved every ounce of hatred he threw at me.
"Can't sleep?"
Tora's soft voice flutters through the room and my head snaps up from my hunched position as Tora tilts his head from his sad crippled position. Both of his arms had been placed in a heavy white cast. The nurse removed his neck brace so he could sleep in comfort. After our emotional conversation, Tora had quickly fallen asleep.
Or so we thought.
"Come here honey,"
Tora beckons me closer and I don't know why or how which confuses me. How can he look at me and smile right now after what I did? How is he not repulsed by my very existence? Screaming at Casper to kick me out of the room? Begging Micah to keep me as far away as possible?
And yet in his eyes, there's no hatred, no fear, not a hint of aggression.
Only love.
And I have absolutely no fucking clue as to how. How could he possibly still love me after what I did?
"Oh honey, I wish you didn't look so gaunt. Have you eaten? Are you hungry?" Tora asks when I finally shuffle close enough for his liking and there's nothing but the sweetest compassion in his tone.
"I'm okay, I don't even think I could hold anything down," I'm honest enough and he nods a little.
"Hmm, am I suppose I am kind of scary looking right now, I probably smell too," He mentions and scrunched up his nose. I feel that familiar uncontrollable smile tugging at my lips and can tell he's relieved when he sees it.
"So, I don't exactly have full use of my arms right now. Do you think you could go to the bathroom and grab a basin of warm water and a hand towel maybe? I so feel sweaty, but I can't shower like this," Tora explains and I quickly do his bidding without question.
Testing the water temperature until it was just right before filling the small white plastic bowl. I find the small typical hospital hand towel with its rough scratchy edges from constant laundering. It's not the best like back at home, but it's the best we can do here and I make a mental note to add towels to the list of things we need from home.
For a few seconds in testing the water and carrying the bowl over, I had forgotten my guilt. My mind was so lost in the simple task, but the second I saw Tora it all came back. He wouldn't need a birdbath and would actually be able to shower by himself if I just didn't exist.
