"Also fuck the patriarchy." I hear Luna say as I approach Monet, Julien, and Luna in the courtyard before school.
"I couldn't agree more." I join in.
"Yet you are straight." Monet states, causing me to laugh lightly.
Audrey then comes out of nowhere dragging Jules off.
"Good morning too, Audrey!" I yell out after her as Monet and Luna roll their eyes at the entire encounter.
We then start talking about the latest looks from the Milan Fashion Week when Luke graces us with his presence.
"Monet. Luna." he says in greeting.
Monet and Luna give him a weak smile before getting their bags and leaving the two of us to talk.
"So, how are you doing this fine Monday morning Willow?" I chuckle a little.
"I'm fine. And you?" I question politely.
"I'm doing well but I will be even better if you will agree to go to dinner with me tonight?" he asks, raising an eyebrow.
"Hmm. That was smooth. I would say yes but I'm actually having dinner with Max and his dads. I would love to go out for desserts though if you want?" I answer, staring into his eyes in challenge.
"That works. After desserts I could use your help for one of my projects again." he replies.
"And what project is it this time?" I question.
"A continuation of the last one. I need to sketch a live object and I chose you." he informs me.
"Ohhh so I'm an object now?" I ask.
"No, no but you are definitely something I would love to sketch." he claims.
I pretend to think about it for a while before saying "Sure. I should be over by 8."
Later on that evening I am at Max's house enjoying some wonderful food.
When we were growing up we would often have dinner at each other's houses at least twice a week but as we've gotten older it's turned into more of a once every two to three months.
I adore his dads.
They are so funny and sweet.
Max is definitely the person that he is today because of them which is great.
Roy, one of Max's dad, was telling us about a recent experience they had eating out causing Max and me to laugh.
"Oh. There was never an entrance he didn't make." Roy says as Gideon walks in the room causing me to turn around in my chair so that I could properly greet him.
"Gideon!" I say smiling.
"Willow darling, you look lovely."
"Thank you, so do you." I beam at him.
"Oh. This old McQueen." he waves off trying to act like he didn't look like a full course meal.
Once Gideon sits down he asks me "Willow, has your mother mentioned where she is in designing my suit for the play."
"She has. It should be ready by Thursday." I reply.
"Perfect! I love that woman." he states excitedly.
"Where are you off to after this?" Max questions changing the subject.
"Critics preview for Jeremy O. Harris's new play:AARON at the Public. It's a very loose adaptation of Titus Anronicous..focusing on Arron the moor." Gideon tells us.
