Devils and Angels (GG Reboot)

Chapter 20

"London, what happened?" Gigi asks.

 Mom gives her a look so they both exit the foyer into mom's office to discuss today I'd assume.

 "Alex, if you'll excuse me I have some calls I need to make." dad says leaving to go to his own office. 

That leaves me, Westin, Uncle Aiden, Uncle Chad, and grandpa awkwardly standing in the foyer.

 "I can help you all with dinner?" Westin suggests.

 "Sure, that would be nice." grandpa states. 

Not wanting to participate in that, I make my way up towards Whitney's room. 

"Whitney." I knock hesitantly. 

After a couple of minutes she reluctantly opens the door.

 "May I come in?" I question shyly. 

She opens the door wider for me to come in, not saying a word. 

"Willow, you knew I didn't want mom and dad to find out and you told them anyway." Whitney says looking extremely hurt. 

"I know that and I am extremely sorry. I had no intentions of doing that but I had to explain why Luke and I first started dating." I sigh. 

"Is everything okay with you, mom, and dad?" I question.

 "Yeah, they are upset at Jace, not me, they just wish I would have come to them. I obviously couldn't do that." she reveals. 

"Well that's good though, you know that they aren't upset." I state. 

"Sure whatever. Willow I don't know how I can trust you going forth." she announces out of the blue. 

"What do you mean, Whitney? I started dating Luke for you by the way and you have yet to thank me for that." I voice. 

"I didn't ask you to do that !" she snaps. 

"But you didn't have to. That's what sisters, what family does right? Take one for the team. I was helping you, he would have told everyone if I didn't date him about your affair." I explain.

 "And somehow you fell for him? You started to like a guy who based y'alls relationship on a deal, one that came at my expense." she reasons. 

"He's changed, Whit. He makes me happy. Why can't you accept that?" I ask. 

Whitney looks at me with disgust before changing her face to a look of understanding. 

"You're right, this is your first boyfriend and I should have been more understanding of that. Go date him, I could fucking careless." she claims, pushing me out of her room. 

I stand at her closed door trying to process what just happened.

 When I finally move to go to my own room I run into mom.

 "Willow, a word." she voices.

 I sigh following her into my room. 

Dad is already sitting at my vanity when we walk in. 

He doesn't waste any time as he immediately starts voicing his concerns and opinions to me.

 "Willow, honey, we appreciate you trying to look out for your sister by dating Luke but next time just come to us even if Whitney or whoever it is doesn't want you to. We want the best for you and your sister and a lot of these issues could have been easily resolved if you all had just come to us." dad states. 

"I'm sorry, I wanted to protect Whitney and obey her request." I explain. 

"We know but just tell us, please." dad continues.
