My fork lazily moves around my plate as I try to build up the courage to take at least a bite out of my food.
One little egg isn't gonna kill me.
Although it feels like it will.
"Lo, I know you're pissed about what happened yesterday but there's no reason to be. I convinced the group that Kennedy isn't at fault." Declan voices from across the breakfast table.
"I'm not pissed." I speak, still moving around my fork.
"So, what's the matter then? Something's off, that's clear." He continues.
"Nothing's wrong." I try again.
Declan's eyes look me up and down in warning.
His golden-brown orbs linger a little too long at my untouched food.
Feeling pressured I finally take a bite of the eggs.
"It's just, you don't believe Gossip Girl right?" I finally break.
Ever since the blast went out, I can't help but wonder if Declan will listen to GG.
She said some awful stuff about me and it's not like I should be surprised but I'm still worried about his thoughts and reaction.
"No, never." He states.
"I mean I have been with a lot of guys."
I wouldn't blame him if his views on me shifted a little.
"And I don't care. I can't judge. I won't judge." He assures me.
"It's just-" I try to find the words to say.
Knock! Knock!
Hearing the sound of someone at the door I practically run out my seat to avoid having to finish that conversation.
Opening the door, I raise an eyebrow in question when I see who it is.
"Willow, hey."
"Westin's not home right now, figured you would know." I voice.
"I'm actually not here for Westin. I need to speak with you"
"In private." Obie adds once Declan enters the foyer, standing behind me.
I try to look for any sign of what Obie could want based on his facial expression but I'm getting nothing.
Declan nudges my side wanting to know if I was okay with this.
Letting out a small sigh I nod my head letting him know it's okay.
"Sure." I speak.
"Text me later, yeah?" Declan states.
"Yeah." I shake my head reassuringly.
He places a soft kiss on the top of my head as he leaves.
Obie watches on before following me into the breakfast room so I can clean up mine and Declan's breakfast.
"So you wanted to talk?" I question as I grab mine and Declan's plates.
"I did." He nods.
"What about?" I ask skeptically as I wash off our plates and put them in the dish washer.
"What do I have to do to stop you from ruining this for Julien?"
"Ruin what?" I question in confusion.
"Don't act dumb. You are far from it." He scolds me.
"I genuinely have no clue what you are talking about?" I fib.
