Chapter 89

Declan's POV

"You!" I shout as I swing at my brother catching him off guard.

All I can see is red.

"Are you sick?! We are brothers! BROTHERS!" I exclaim as Liam tries to regain his composure.

"Brothers?" Liam lets out a dry chuckle as he stands tall again.

"You went after the woman I loved! Don't deny it! You were actively trying to get her while I was still with her!!" he shouts back.

"Don't' deny it! I see the way you look at her!" he pushes me back.

"I had finally, finally gotten one thing you didn't have and you couldn't accept that." Liam continues.

"It wasn't like that." I yell.

"Then it explain it to me because you broke up with Montana and came back to New York City for her!" Liam can't stop yelling.

"Be a man! Tell me truth! Tell me you love her! Tell me you always wanted to be the center of attention. It wasn't enough to have mom and dad chose you over me, but you had to go after her too?!!"

"She's not an object! Stop talking about her as if she is one." I say with a raised voice.

"This is so much bigger than her, you framed me?! I could have gone to prison! You did all that so you could have her and be in the spotlight for a change?!" I question, growing angrier.

"And it would have been wonderful, but you ruined that!" he snaps.

"Mom and dad decided to not press charges because at the end of the day they still love you..why can't that be good enough? Why can't our love for you be good enough?!" I challenge.

"Because it's not from her." He whispers in defeat.

"You all are supposed to love me, that's what family does. But-but my own biologically mother couldn't, she didn't love me, that why she gave me up. I just wanted someone to love me that wasn't you, mom, or dad. And I thought she did, I thought she wouldn't give up on me. But then you came, and you ruined everything. Why couldn't you have just let me have this one thing?!" he says through harsh tears.

"And I ask you to tell me the truth and say you love her so I know I'm not going crazy and you can't. You're a fucking coward!" he exclaims, all tears gone as he pushes me back with great force.

"Yes! I love her!" I push him off me.

"I love her!" I exclaim again as I push him further away from me.

"And I tried to stay away, for so long but she's it for me and I've lost her before, and I couldn't lose her again." I try to explain.

I can tell my face is red from all the shouting.

"Even if it meant losing me?" Liam lets out a dry chuckle.

"How does it feel to go behind someone's back, huh? You went behind my back with her, so it was only fair I went behind yours with the money." He explains.

"How do you not hear yourself?! The lengths that you went to..to remove me out of the picture, to get some sort of sick revenge. There's no excuses for that!" I state in rage and frustration.

"You've got to grow up! You only wanted her because you realized I liked her! You thought that was love?!" I shout as I throw another punch to his face.
