A bright light disturbs me from my peaceful sleep.

My eyes slowly flutter open to see Liam aggressively pulling open the curtains in his room.

I groan internally, closing my eyes again to make it seem like I was still asleep.

"I know you're awake," I hear Liam chuckle.

"You woke me." I grumble, causing him to laugh lightly again.

"I'm sorry but we've got a busy ahead of us." He says.

"We've got a busy day?" I question.

This was news to me.

"Yeah, I've planned the most amazing date ever for us this evening." He smiles at me.

"You did?" I yawn.

"I did." He beams.

"Well, that sounds great but that's tonight therefore you could have let me sleep in a little." I huff from my spot on the bed.

Liam eyes me hearing the slight change in my tone and comes to sit at the foot of the bed.

"Something wrong?" he questions.

Do I be truthful with him?

I don't want to hurt his feelings.

Sighing, I decide to go for it.

"It's just last night... and now tonight. I can't help but feel like I'm being used as a distraction." I reveal.

"I mean you are always a distraction, look at you." He voices, trying to make light of what I just said.

"So funny." I deadpan.

"You know what I mean though. Instead of staying to celebrate your brother's birthday you wanted to leave immediately after meeting your parents and you were just so handsy with me last night. Like all over me. And now you want to take me on this unplanned date, so it just feels like I'm being used as a distraction." I explain, but I'm not sure if I was clear enough.

"You weren't complaining last night." He scuffs.

"No, I wanted to have sex with you. It's just I need you to know that I don't want to be some sort of distraction for you. Whatever you're hiding from use something else as a distraction or just face it. And I know that seems easier said than done but please try...for me?" I start.

"I'm not using you as a distraction." He says dryly.

"Fine, I'll just drop it." I sigh.

"Don't be like that." Liam scolds me like I'm a little girl.

"I'm not being like anything, I'm just tired and I don't want to fight right now so I'm choosing to table it for now." I announce as I get out of his bed.

"Fine, Willow." He sighs, running his hand through his hair.

I slip back on my dress from last night, rolling my eyes at the fact that I'm about to do the walk of shame like I'm still in high school.

"You can use one of my old shirts." Liam voices more softly seeing me in my dress.

His eyes are trying to communicate with me, 'don't be mad.'

"Okay." I say, following him to his closet.

He digs in his drawer for a shirt, finding one he's okay with giving to me, he hands it over.

"Thanks." I reply.

The air is so tense and awkward right now.

I hate it.
