When Monday rolls around I see both Lil and Adelyn walk through the halls. Adelyn with a coffee and Lil with a smoothie or something blue.

"Are you sure?" Adelyn asks a very annoyed Lillian.

"Adelyn I love you but it's not like I'm gonna die this exact second."

"Fine but I just don't want to be alone," Adelyn says with a frown and Lil gives her a small smile.

"Hey, loser," I greet Lil.

"Don't remind me," Lil shakes her head.

"Loser?" Adelyn questions her past frown is now gone.

"Yes, loser. I lost a race to him and now I owe him a favor." She doesn't seem hurt about the fact that she lost.

"Make the favor worthwhile," Adelyn says looking at me. "I can barely get her to do anything for me even if it's a glass of water."

Lil glares at her friend, "You're cut off." she says with finality in her voice and turns away. "Find someone to take you to school from now on," she says back towards us. Even though it was supposed to sound like a threat there was a smile in her voice.

The day goes by fast for a monday. As I leave the school building the bright sun impairs my vision momentarily. I can either go home get something to eat and risk being late to practice or stay and go to practice hungry. I chose the first and climbed into my car. As I pull out of my parking spot I notice Cameron and Lil in an argument by her car. He leans into her and tries to touch her but each time he slaps his hand away from her.

I leave the parking lot knowing this isn't my problem and blast music from the speakers with the windows down. The warm air slips in and out of my car making me miss the beach. Even though the beach is a good 2ish-hour drive from here, with traffic, I don't visit it enough.

I get home and go straight to the fridge and find some leftovers from dinner my mom had. Heating it in the microwave I enjoy the stir fry, definitely not my first choice in food but Mom's cooking is unmatched.

After shoving 2 plates of food down my throat I speed back to school just in time for practice.

The cheer team is running through routines when I get there and most guys are already on the field. Changing into shorts and my jersey I make my way onto the field. Coach makes us run through plays. After about 2 hours of us constantly moving we are all covered in sweat.

Heading into the locker room nobody says anything, we are all tired and out of breath. I take a quick shower and walk out of the locker rooms. I sat down on the bench outside waiting for my friend.

"Fine," Lil says as she and Adlyn leave the locker room. Adelyn looks like a little kid when they receive candy.

"Wanna come to the cafe with us to eat?" Lil asks me. Despite eating before practice I was hungry again.

"I'm down," I say just as my stomach rumbles.

"We're going to the cafe, wanna come?" I ask Jacob who comes out of the locker room followed by a bunch of other players.

"I'm starving, let's go." We head to the parking lot.

"Nope, find another ride," Lil says, keeping her end of the threat from this morning.

"Please Lilly," she whines.

"Ugh fine, only because we don't need a stray rich girl that can't drive." she rolls her eyes.

We all drive over to the cafe and order our food. Adelyn and Jacob go off to sit at another table.

"You know you don't have to sit with me," Lil says when I pull out a chair at the table she's sitting at.

"Yeah, but we can't have you be bored," I say.

She pulls out a notebook, "I have homework, I don't think I'll be bored."

I take the notebook from her and place it in front of me. "I have a better idea."
