U up
I glare at the bright screen of my phone. Who in their right mind would be up at 3 in the fucking morning. I look at the sender, Quinn.
no
I type out. He reads the texts and sends another one.
Outside
I sit up and fling myself across my room to look out the window, and sure enough, his car is sitting in my driveway with him leaning up against the hood of the car.
go home
I text back. He doesn't respond but he's on his phone so I know he got the notification for it. I storm downstairs, the floor cool under my feet. I open the door and find him smirking.
"Let's go," he nods his head.
"What the fuck is wrong with you. It's three in the morning," I whisper.
"I'll give you three seconds to get into the car yourself otherwise I will put you in the car myself," he smirks like he actually did something.
"3," he starts.
I stand there with my arms crossed.
"2."
Another pause.
I walk to the passenger side of the car and slide in. The leather is cool against my skin making me realize I'm only in sleep shorts, a thin tank top, and no shoes.
He slides into the diver's side, "good girl."
I glare at him trying to mask the feeling of butterflies he gives me.
We sit in the dark, no music playing.
"Where are we going?" I ask, the silence making me uncomfortable.
He doesn't answer.
"You're not gonna kill me right," I asked, rolling my eyes.
"Hopefully not," he said with a smile in his voice.
I lean my head against the cold window and let my mind shut down. I let sleep overcome me and it's peaceful.
"We're here," Quinn's voice is soft as he gently shakes me.
My eyes open, it's starting to get lighter out. My body feels warm, I feel at peace.
"What time is it," I ask, my voice is rough.
"A little after 5."
"Where are we," I stretch my arms above my head, Quinn's eyes flint down to my chest, making me realize that I'm not wearing a bra.
"Look outside."
I turn my head to look out the window, "the beach."
"Yeah and if we don't get out of the car soon we're going to miss what we came here for," he opens his door and starts to head towards the water.
I throw open the door and follow him out.
"Care to swim?" his eyes have a mischievous glint to them.
"Won't it be freezing?" I ask, the chilly morning air tickles my skin.
He stands ahead of me so when he starts taking off his shirt and sweats I'm left looking at his back. His boxers come off last and he starts toward the water.
"You coming?" He asks when he's waist-deep in the water.
I sigh and start to take off my shorts, "turn around."
He turns around with a smile on his face and I strip out of the tank top and underwear.
I start towards the water and get shocked by how cold it is.
Diving under I let the coolness of the ocean overtake my body. When I resurface the wind blows making me shiver.
"How are we going to get out?" I ask, rubbing my arms with my hands to keep warm.
"Just like how we got in," a boyish grin is plastered onto his face.
"Did you not bring towels or extra clothes?"
"Relax," he said, grabbing my hand and pulling me close to him.
I turn my head to look over the horizon, the sunrises making the sky light up.
"It's so pretty," I whisper.
He brushes his lips against my cheek, "I can name something prettier."
My heart swells and blush covers my cheeks.
