Today was one of those rare days. Those days you want to keep forever and ever.

The wind blows through the open window and my hair whips around my face. The sun is high in the sky beaming down on us. The music blasts through the speakers. The car zips along the road and I'm brought back to summer. Everything about right now I want to keep forever. I look at Quinn who has an easy smile on his face. I feel high, once reality hits I'll crash and the moments will be lost.

"What's the plan for today?" I yell to hear the wind and the music.

"Whatever you want to do," Quinn replied.

I smile, "how about breakfast?" I ask.

After skinny dipping in the ocean, we left the beach and drove around.

"Whatcha want?" Quinn asks as we pull into a drive-through.

"Fries and a milkshake," I reach to turn down the music.

"Fries and a milkshake can't be breakfast food."

"Fries and a milkshake can be breakfast food."

"Fine." He pulls up to the speaker box, "can I get two oreo milkshakes and 2 large fries," he turns to smile at me.

"Anything else?" the person on the other side asks.

"That's it," we pull up to the window to pay and get our food.

"Fries and milkshakes can't be breakfast food." I mimic his words.

We pull into an empty parking spot, the radio is a quiet hum and we eat our food.

I take one of my fries and dip it into the oreo shake. Quinn looks at me with disgust.

"You're really gonna eat that?"

"Yes, it's so good," I said, shoving the fry in my mouth. I take another fry and dip it in the shake, "here," I say holding it up to his mouth. He slowly opens his mouth and takes a bite of the fry. "So?" I ask impatiently.

"Eh, it's alright, nothing special," he says with a smile on his face.

"Liar," I dip a finger into the shake and smear it across his cheek.

He laughs but has an evil glint in his eyes, "don't worry I'll get you back."

"Oh no, what will I ever do," I say melodramatically.

"Where do you wanna go now?" Quinn asks, pulling out of the parking spot and onto the road.

I shrug my shoulders. "Whatever you wanna do," I say, turning up the music.

"I'm thinking of having a Halloween party," Quinn says after driving around for a bit.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah, make it a costume party and everything you know."

I hum in agreement, knowing damn well I won't be caught dead at that party.

"You gonna come to the party?"

"Nope, I don't do parties."

"Everyone does parties."

"Well I don't 'do parties'," My words come out sharper than needed.

We make it back to my house around 6 in the evening. The sun has started setting, painting the sky.

"I'll see you tomorrow," Quinn says from the other side of the car.

"Yeah," I quickly lean over and press a soft kiss to his lips. "Bye," I whisper.
