Three days later

.

.

“So, any plans for tonight?” I asked Phil and Derek as we ate dinner.

“Well, my lady friend is coming over,” Phil said and I looked at him weird.

“Lady friend?”

“Yep.”

“What’s she like?”

“Well, she really nice and funny. I told her that you were here, and she said, and I quote, ‘if she asks what I’m like, say I’m a Directioner. If she doesn’t know what that is, or if she says that Directioners are stupid, then we’re not going to get along.’ So, I must ask, are you a Directioner?” As Phil spoke, I felt my eyes widen.

”Yeah,” I said and he and Derek smiled. “One Direction is frickin’ awesome!”

In my head, I was saying ‘Oh shit. Oh shit. Oh shit. She’s a Directioner. She’s going to know who I am. This is going to suck. I like it here. Derek and Phil are nice and it feels like my old life before One Direction.’

“Then you two should get along just-.” Derek was interrupted by a knock at the door.

“I’ll get it!” Phil announced and ran from the table. “Jess!” He yelled and hugged the petite little brunette. A moment or two later, they walked over to the table. When Jess saw me, her eyes widened and her jaw dropped slightly.

I gave her a pleading look not to say anything, and when she saw it, she gave her head a quick little shake and put a smile on her face, then she held out her hand. “I’m Jess. You must be Brittany. The guys have told me a lot about you and Danny.”

“I hope that they’ve said nice things,” I replied as I shook her hand.

“They did. But what did they tell you about me?” she asked as she walked over to the counter and got a plate of Hamburger Helper.

“They said that you’re a Directioner.”

“And you are too, I bet,” she said as she sat down across from me.

“I am,” I stated.

“Who’s you’re favorite member?” she questioned.

“I honestly don’t have one. I love them all equally,” I lied. Over the past few days, my feelings for Louis started becoming more clear. I did like him. He was sweet and loving and funny and perfect, but I couldn’t let anyone know that.

“Really?” She asked and I nodded. “Zayn’s my favorite. He’s just so attractive and his tattoos! Don’t even get me started about his quiff! Gaaaaaaaa! I love him!”

Jess and I talked about a lot of stuff for the rest of dinner, but mostly One Direction.

Derek and Phil were talking about football, but it was really confusing to me when I overheard them talking and was a good ten minutes until I figured out that they were talking about American Football.

When dinner was over I made a bottle of formula and I went into the living room where Danny was. He was lying in the middle of the floor on a blanket cooing and making cute baby noises.

“Hi Danny Sweetie,” I said as I went and sat by him. I grabbed his hand and carefully pulled him into the sitting position. “Are you hungry?” I asked and he cooed. I picked him up and I put him in my lap. I put the bottle in his mouth and he started to drink.

“I bet you miss Daddy. He probably misses you too. You’re just too cute not to miss,” I said to him in my baby voice. “Their probably happy that they don’t have to take care of you though. You’re a pain to take care of, yes you are. But I love you anyways.”
