Meghan put her hands on my shoulders and said, “Brittany, calm down!”
I put my hands on her shoulders and said, “Meghan, I am completely calm. You need to calm down right now.”
“I can’t! We’re going to be on telly!”
“Meghan, calm. Okay, calm. If you’re going to freak out, freak out when we’re going to meet Ellen. We’re about to have tea and talk with a nine and a six year old. I think you can handle that.”
“Okay, okay,” she said and took a deep breath. “I’m calm, I’m calm.”
“You guys can go on now,” Paul said and Meghan and I walked out calmly.
There were two little couches set up, and one was occupied by two little kids dressed in pink toto’s. Meghan and I sat down on the other one and the girls looked at the camera and said, “This is Tea Time with Sophia Grace.”
The other one added, “and Rosie.”
“And today's a little different. We have two guests and their names are Brittany Tom and Meghan Anderson."
“Hi,” Meghan and I said together.
“Will you dress up for Tea Time?” Sophia Grace asked.
“Of course,” Meghan replied.
“Do you have any costumes?” I asked.
“Yeah,” Rosie replied and a guy handed Meghan and I each a fluffy pink toto that we wrapped around our waists. Then, we were handed tiaras.
“How do we look?” I asked.
“Like princesses,” Sophia Grace said.
“Really?” Meghan questioned.
“Yes,” Rosie.
“Do you guys like princesses?”
“Yes!” they said together.
“Who’s your favorite?”
Sophia Grace said, “Sleeping Beauty,” while Rosie answered, “Arial.”
“Who’s your favorite princess?” we were asked.
“Well, mine is definitely Sleeping Beauty,” I replied. “What about you Meghan?” I asked my friend.
“Hmmmmm, well, if I had to chose one, it would probably have to be Belle."
“Do you have a boyfriend?” Rosie asked randomly. I looked at Meghan to answer as I went and took a sip of my tea and thought over my own answer. I mean, how are you suppose to explain the fact that your pregnant and not in a relationship with the father to a nine and six year?
“I do actually,” Meghan replied. “And you do you know who it is?”
“Liam Payne of One Direction?” Sophia Grace said quickly.
“It is, how did you know that?”
“Rosie and I read it in a magazine.”
“What about you Brittany?” Rosie asked and I had to hold myself back from giving a six year old my death glare.
