My alarm starts beeping and I turn around and smack my hand on my clock. The alarm stops, but now my hand hurts. The clock reads 6:00. I make a noise as I force myself to get up. I start with my regular morning routine. I get changed into my work out clothes and take a seat on my stationary bike. I peddle for 15 minutes then I do some stretching. After that I go into the bathroom to get ready for the day. I come out and the clock reads 7:00. Right on schedule. I get dressed, grab my backpack and walk downstairs. I pour myself a bowl of cereal and sit down at the table as George comes up to see me.
"Hey George." I say.
My Mom comes running downstairs looking flustered.
"Oh my! I'm going to be so late!" She says as she runs around trying to get ready. My Mom is an airport security guard and works about half an hour away. She hurries out the door and I'm left by myself. I don't have any siblings and my parents are divorced so it's just me and my Mom and George at home. I get up from my chair when I'm done breakfast and put my dishes in the sink. I grab my lunch that my mom made me from the counter and put it in my backpack. I swing my backpack onto my back and put on my sneakers and get out the door for 7:30. I walk to my bus stop and stand there waiting for the bus. I'm the only one at my stop most days so I just stand there by myself.

I take my seat at the back of the class. Grade 9 math. Great. I started High School two months ago and I'm still kind of getting used to everything. I moved to Florida in Grade 4, when my parents got divorced. I used to live in Manitoba. The teacher assigns us some homework and the bell rings for lunch. I'm walking in the hall to my locker when I hear someone talking loudly behind me.
"That's her? That's Jordan?"
I can't recognize the voice so I turn around. There are two girls there, one who I recognize from my history class and the other who looks new. The girl from my history class, Sam I think, whispers something to the new girl and they walk around me. I frown, wondering what that was all about. I walk up to my locker, number 321. I type in my passcode and swing the door open. Inside the walls are covered with pictures of me swimming. There are also pictures of some of my favourite professional swimmers too. I grab my lunch my Mom made me and close my locker. I turn around only to bump into someone.
"Ow! Oh I am so sorry!" He says bending down to pick up my lunch that I dropped.
"I am so sorry. Thank you!" I say as I take my lunch from him.
"Hey! You're Jordan right?" He asks smiling.
I nod my head slightly. What is it with people knowing me? I have the feeling Dru said something about me. I turn around and walk away without even asking his name.
