Ian's point of view
---------------------------------------------
I look down at my guitar lying on my lap. I haven't been able to play for a week now. I can't seem to concentrate on anything. Not with Jordan still in the hospital. My mom said she would take my to the hospital when she gets home. I've been trying to think of a song to sing for Jordan, but nothing is coming to me. Amy is meeting us at the hospital, Dru's dad managed to find her. Sorry, I guess I shouldn't call him that anymore. My dad. That's different.
"Ian! Time to go!" My mom calls up from downstairs to me.
"Coming!" I bring my guitar just incase I can figure out something to play.
I take a seat in my moms car and turn on the radio.
"You okay?" My mom asks.
"Sure." I mumble and turn to face my window.
Street lamps fly by on either side of me. The lights causing a ghostly glow in the black of the night.
We arrive at the hospital and I practically run in. I don't bother stopping by the front desk, as I already know where Jordan's room is.
I arrive in front of Jordan's room, I run in and take a seat by her bed.
The doctor says she has a 70% chance of waking up. That's good, right?
I hear my moms footsteps come up from behind me. She says, "Who are you?" Well, I guess it isn't my mom.
I turn around to face a short girl about my age.
"Amy?" I ask.
"Yep, that's me!" She skips over to the other side of Jordan's bed and sits down.
"Wow. Been a while since I last saw her." She says, nodding her head in the direction of Jordan. "Any news on, I don't know, medical stuff?"
"70% chance."
She smiles wide and says, "Awesome! That's more then a 50/50 chance. If you say it a different way it seems even better. She only has a 30% chance of not waking up. That's good. I think." Amy says. She talks a lot.
My mom comes in, speaking with another woman, who I assume is Amy's mom.
"Oh, it's been such a long time since we've seen Jordan." Amy's mom looks sadly down at the girl lying on the hospital bed.
"We lost contact." Explains Amy.
I hope Anika was right that if Amy is here and is speaking, it will wake Jordan up.
