Chapter 11

My lungs are burning. I need to fill them with air. I can't go up yet. There has been so much on my mind lately. I need to beat Eileen. I hear the water move beside me as Eileen surfaces. Seconds later I surface also, to the sound of my cheering team mates.
"You did it!" Someone cheers, I can't tell who. I see Lexi scowling at me. I have no idea why she would want to be friends with Dru. But, whatever, that's her choice.
After practise I check my phone, I got a text from Ian.
"Maybe this isn't the best idea, it might make my make my sister really mad. But do you want to come to the wedding? I'm allowed to invite 5 people. I'm inviting you, Anika (if she's ok to come) and Elisabeth. I'm also inviting 2 of my friends. Can u come?"
I stare at the text in front of me. It'd be awesome to go, I just don't want to make things worse with Dru then they already are.
"That'd be awesome! What day?"
"Saturday." He replies back right away.
"This Saturday?"
"Ya. Can u come?" He texts.
"Ya."
"Great. C u there😄."
I grab my bag and walk to my moms car.
"I'm busy Saturday." I tell her.
"Where are you going?"
"Mr.Browns wedding." I answer
"What?!" My mom shrieks and accidentally goes through a red light.
"Why would you be going there?"
"Ian invited me."
"Ian?"
"His mom is marrying Dru's dad."
"Feel bad for her."

Dru's point of view

I lie on my floor, staring up at my ceiling. Hot tears roll down my face. Saturday. My dad is getting married on Saturday. He still hasn't told my mom. I wonder if he ever will. They got a divorce a while ago, dad wasn't the nicest to her. I still see my mom sometimes, I'm not allowed to stay with her because she's low on money. I've asked my dad to help her out but he refuses. I don't want him to get married again, unless it's to my mom. Plus, with his new wife comes Jordan's friend Ian. Jordan. Ugh. I can't wait until my plan finishes. I may really want Jordan to loose but it is quite tiring.
I sit up and grab my phone from across the room.
Time to start the drama. Well, continue it.

Dru's house is more like a castle then a house. When I first got her text I thought see was lying. But, what's the worse that can happen? She said I had to come and pick something up for Anika, Jordan and I for the wedding.
I walk in the door and immediately a hand grabs me and pushes me in a closet.
