"This can not be happening!" I hear my mom yell from downstairs. I run down the stairs to the living room, where she is. The news is on, my interview with Jamie. It's on a little late, I think to myself. It's been about a week since I went on the show.
"Dru Brown is a great swimmer. I am jealous of her and Anika. I tried to get back at Dru by pushing Anika in front of a car. It wasn't smart but I did do it. I convinced the police that I did not do it." My voice is monotone. No, it's not my voice, I realize. It's Dru's.
"She didn't." I say. I notice my mom is crying. I hear the ring of the doorbell.
Please don't be the cops, please don't be the cops.
It's not the cops. It's Anika!
"You're out of the hospital!" I say excitedly I open the door, forgetting about the Dru problem.
"Did you see the news?" Asks Anika, sniffling. Her mom comes up behind her.
"Yeah, I did."
"We found out who the driver was." Says Anika.
"Who?" I ask, feeling upset about the Dru problem but also curious about this.
"It was Dru's father."

My huge flat screen TV is perfect for watching your wonderful, evil plan be revealed. Point Dru! There's no way Jordan's getting out of this one!
"Dad, this turned out great!"
"I know. Did you doubt me?"
"Never. It's a win-win situation!" I exclaim. "I get to get back at Jordan, and no one will ever know you hit Anika."
"I thought Anika found out." Points out my dad.
"Sure but the public doesn't need to."
I turn off my TV and walk up to my room. In order for the rest of my plan to work I have to pretend like Jordan doesn't bother me, I can't bother her. Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.

Anika's point of view

Waking up in a hospital bed with tubes coming out of me was not how I wanted to start the day. Little choice I had, though. When I was a little bit better, mom explained to me what happened. Yet, she failed to mention the little parts about Dru. Luckily enough I was able to hear her when she was in the emergency room. That's why I woke up, I wanted to yell at her. There was a TV in my room and I was watching just as I was getting ready to leave, Jordan was on the news. She was on the Jamie show. But the voice that was talking wasn't hers, it was Dru's.
Finally, I was allowed to leave the hospital, as long as I stayed with my mom. I went to go see Jordan and I got a call on the way to her house. The police. They said they checked the traffic light video cameras and it was Mr.Brown who hit me. Dru's father. He was on the phone, probably some work call, after dropping Dru off for school because she missed the bus. Apparently after he hit me, he just ran off. He tries to keep his whereabouts a secret, so the police will have a hard time finding him. I exclaim all this to Jordan and her mom. George is jumping up and down, barking and growling.
Dru Brown went too far this time.
