<<<<EPILOGUE>>>>
***Ian's point of view***
I look at the professor with a look of confusion on my face. I have literally no idea what he is trying the explain to me about European History.
Finally the class is over and I stand up, I hurry out the classroom like its on fire.
My mom is meeting me by the dorms in about half an hour, some spy stuff.
Since I'm 18 now, I'm eligible to be hired by the government.
I see her standing by a bush of flowers, in front of residence. Not my mom, Jordan. She looks beautiful in her jeans and baggy sweatshirt.
When she sees me coming, I see her eyes light up as she runs up to me. She pulls me in for a big hug, I hug her back.
"Your moms coming soon, right?" I can hear the anxiousness in her voice. I, too, am extremely nervous for this government interview.
"Ahem." Someone clears their throat.
I turn around to see my mom standing behind me.
"You ready to go?" She asks Jordan and I.
She's wearing jeans and a black leather jacket. She's not the mom I remember her pretending to be as a child. The one who wore sundresses and baked cookies.
"I guess."
***Jordan's point of view***
The government base is absolutely nothing like I thought it would be. Well, I actually don't now what I thought it would be like.
The whole place was glass. Just walking on the floor I felt unsafe, as though the ground would break underneath me.
Ian's mom convinced us to change out of our street clothes and into something more formal. I'm wearing a short neon green skirt, with a a black long sleeve with lace on the arms. My black heels make it absolutely impossible to walk. Ian is wearing a black tux, which looks ridiculous on him.
"Agent Z!" A women wearing all white approaches us.
"Darcy." Ian's mom bows her head as the women approaches.
"We're here for an interview with Jackson." Ian's mom explains.
"Right, of course," starts Darcy, "Just this way.
We were led through series of winding halls that branches of into more corridors and had multiple doors, all similar, with the exception of different numbers, lined on the walls. We finally stopped I front of a door numbered "3748".
"Right in here." Darcy says, then leaves.
Ian's mom knocks before opening the door, although she does not wait for an answer. I'm going to have to get used to all the ways people do things here.
The office has one wall, to the left, that is fully made of glass, showing the outside. Which consists of rolling mountains made of red sand for miles.
"Ah, agent Z. Nice to see you again. I assume this is Jordan and your son Ian."
"Yes."
"Well, I've been studying these twos profiles."
"And?"
"I think I might just have a job for them."
