Chapter 30

My mom told me she would drive me to the hospital today to talk to an unconscious Jordan. So, that's just what I did. I get out of my moms car then think of something.
"Mom? Where does Dru's dad work?" I ask. It occurred to me that maybe if I could find Jordan's old fiend, Amy, she might wake up.
"I don't know. I don't care. Some cellphone company or something like that." My mom shrugs.
"Can you drive me to their house?"
"I guess..."
My mom drives me to Dru's house and I am shocked and horrified at what I see. There are a dozen police cruisers, about five ambulances and seven fire trucks in front of the house.
"What is going on here?" I mutter to myself as I exit my moms car.
One of the ambulances takes off, followed by two police cars. Soon all of the EMS vehicles are gone and all that's left on the driveway is a lone Ian, standing in complete shock.
"What happened?" I practically scream at Ian, who is oblivious to any of my commentary.
"Dead. Dead. Dead..." Ian rambles on.
"Ian, you need help. Like, serious help." He doesn't respond so I continue, "Dead. What do you mean by dead? Who's dead?"
"Dru. Dru's dead."
I stare at Ian. "Ian? What are you talking about? How is that possible? What happened?!"
Ian, still oblivious to my presence, stands in the middle of the driveway with a shocked expression and his mouth wide open.
"My mom was attacked." He gulps. "By the same man who crashed the wedding."
"I thought he was in jail!"
"My mom did too." He looks down at the ground, at a red spot on the pavement. "My dad- Dru's dad, tried to save her. He... He... He died too. Dead. Dead. Dead."
"Dead three times. You said dead three times. Who else is dad, Ian?" I ask.
"My..." His voice trails off, but I know what he's going to say. "My mom."
A man in a uniform comes up to me and whispers something in my ear,
"They're not dead. Ian is just in a little shock. But, they are not dead."

This chapter is super short, but a lot happened. Three characters dead. (Kidding, not dead.) But, just to let you know, the man who killed them and crashed the wedding isn't dead either.
