Dru's point of view

I stand up slowly and immediately regret it. My head goes dizzy and I fall back down.
"Sorry kid. Did I knock you out too hard?" My dads voice echoes in my ears like I'm hearing him, but through ear plugs.
"Oh wait, her ear plugs are still in." My dad reaches out and pulls two ear buds out of my ears. The noise. Like nails on a chalkboard but with machinery and ten times worse.
"Where am I?" I ask, my voice sounds like there's a toad in my throat.
"At home, in your room. You were out for two days. Knock out powder, had to, sorry." My dad looks genuinely sorry, then he turns around to talk to someone I can't see. I carefully raise my head to look around. My dad and his wife are talking in the corner of the room. I see Ian and Jordan talking beside me. There are other people too, who I don't know. My head is spinning so I just lie down and fall asleep.

Jordan's point of view

Ian explains to me what's going on.
"So, yeah my dads a spy. So's Dru's dad and your mom apparently." It's not every day you find out your mom and stepdad are spies. Especially on their wedding day. I never even thought about this being a possibility. I thought something was going on but never did this cross my mind.
"Who was the dude who was wearing the coat and crashed the wedding?" I ask.
"All of this happens and that's what you ask?"
"Well, he was pretty scary."
"We took care of him." My mom walks up to me.
"By take care of him you mean..."
"No, he's alive. In jail, but alive."
I run my hand through my hair. "This is all just so confusing."
"Ya, it is." Dru speaks from only a metre away.
As if to answer an unasked question my mother says, "How about we get out of here. Now we're done checking up on Dru we can leave."
Dru gets up and joins Ian and I as we exit my room.
I go and sit down on one of the benches. Elisabeth and Anika come sit beside me.
"This is crazy." Anika says.
Elisabeth nods her head. "Agreed, it is. How am I going to tell my mom about all this?"
"Crazy is an understatement."
