...And that is proof that our hypothesis is correct. I sigh as I drop my pencil, massaging my cramped hands. My lab report is finally finished. My phone makes a beeping noise and I lean over to see what it is. I was tagged in a comment? I type in my password and read the comment. "Jordan Lee is a cheater and a terrible swimmer." What? I think, "Who wrote this?" I scroll up to the picture the comment was on. I picture of me accepting my award at my last competition. My face is blank and I look kind of out of it. Dru, one the other hand looks like she was the winner of a beauty pageant. Of course, Dru posted this. I look down at the other comments. Everyone who commented said something nasty about me, that wasn't true. Only one person didn't say anything mean about me, they were actually standing up for me. I click on their name to view their profile. Ian Zang. I see his profile picture and recognize him immediately as the guy I ran into in the hall earlier today. I click on the follow button. A few seconds later I get a follow request. From Ian Zang. Accept, I click. Dang it. I look over at my clock and it's 5:17. I'm going to be late for practise. I hurry up and grab my bag, just as my mom calls me from downstairs. I rush into the car and shut the door.

"We're going to do some on land exercises then a practise race." My swimming instructor, Eileen, says to my team. My competitive team is made up of four other swimmers. Jocelyn, Avery, Haley and Lexi. Then, of course, there's me. Our on land exercises usually consist of push ups, sit ups, burpies and planks. After that we get back into the water. Jocelyn and Avery are about the same level so they race against each other. Then, Haley and Lexi race. Haley is a bit faster then Lexi but the race ends up in a tie. Then, since it's an uneven number and I'm the best on our team, I race against Eileen. It is almost a tie with me coming in just after Eileen.
"Good job girls." She says as we catch our breaths after the race.
At 9:00 it's time for us to go home. We train for three and a half hours a day. 5:30-9:00. My mom pulls up outside of the building and I walk over to her car.
"How was practise?" She asks.
"It was good. A few more practises and I'll beet Eileen for sure!"
I get home and run up to my room. I look at my phone and realize I have a missed call. It's from Anika. I pick up the phone and redial.
"Hello?" Anika's voice says on the other end.
"Hey! You called?"
"Ya. Have you been on social media lately?"
"I saw that comment. It was mean but it's not a big-"
"No, not that. There was a picture posted, total photoshop by the way, of you cheating at your last competition. There's also a terrible comment of a total false accusation!"
"What?!" I'm furious. Who keeps doing this? "Who posted it?" I ask my friend.
"Who do you think?" She answers.
Dru Brown.
"Why does she hate me?" I ask Anika.
"Is it not obvious? You're a better swimmer then her! She's just jealous!" Says my friend.
"Thanks Anika. You're probably right."
