Drew's POV

It's already past 2 o'clock and Derek still wasn't home. I didn't know if I should be worried or calm about this. He'd be home by 2 at the latest and sometimes he'll be home later than that. Anyways I decided to wait it out and just check on Chris and Cassie.

I knew things were going to be awkward with me and Cassie, but I just didn't know how weird and I knew things weren't going to be so easy with Chris since he was caught in a lie because of me. I guess I'm just going to have to take my chances with these two and see how it goes. Forgot to mention that Cassie and Chris weren't talking yet, so yeah... awkward.

I had decided to go into Cassie's room first since I figured it would've been better than going to Chris first. I opened the door and saw Chris and Cassie talking.

Did I miss something?

"Hey you two." I said slowly since I didn't expect what I was seeing.

"Hi Drew." Cassie greeted first. "Wassup bro?" Chris greeted next.

"Weren't you two fighting just a while ago?" I asked confused since they were literally fighting a while ago.

"Oh that." Cassie started. "That's old news." She smiled. Her smile just wanted to make me smile which I kinda did inside. "We made up." She grinned jumping onto Chris' back that was faced towards me.

He was startled, but still managed to catch her. They laughed about it when Chris carefully put her down. "By the way man," Chris said walking towards me. "I'm sorry for lying about who really beat me up." He apologized. For some odd reason, I didn't care about his apology, I felt like I wanted nothing to do with it.

I pushed aside the feelings because I didn't want to throw off a bad vibe. "It's cool man." I fake smiled. Our hands met and we did that 'guy handshake' many guys are always doing it nowadays. "Don't worry about it." I said smiling again.

"Thanks man." He smiled and walked back to Cassie and wrapped his arm around her neck. I think I know why my stomach is doing somersaults. Is this what you call jealousy? Cassie looked up at Chris, smiled and hugged him. This is jealousy? Yeah. I hate the feeling.

"Anyways." I quickly said interrupting their hug. I just came here to check if you guys need anything?" I asked as Cassie stepped away from Chris. I couldn't have been more relieved.

Cassie and Chris looked at each other, made a funny face and then turned towards me. "No." They shook their heads with matching frowns. "We're fine." They said simultaneously.

"Alright then, I'll see you guys later." And with that I left the room.

"Ugh." I sighed heavily.

How can I be jealous of a girl I practically kidnapped?

Cassie's POV

Derek came into the room catching Chris and I taking a nap. "Get up." He ordered.

"What do you want from us now?" Chris groaned rubbing his eyes.

"What's going on?" Drew asked curiously peeking his head into the room behind Derek.

"Great. You're here." Derek said pulling Drew in closer to him. " We are all going to finish cleaning the yard." Derek informed. I first widened my eyes, then rolled them in annoyance to the fact I was going to be stuck doing chores. "And I don't care if you have an excuse." He stated. "You will be helping out." He ordered.
