Cassie's POV
"Good morning." I awoke to a kiss on my forehead and someone
I smiled to him and pulled the blanket over my face to hide my blush.
Ring Ring Ring
I looked over to notice Drew's phone was ringing, he got out of bed and stood in front of the window.
"Hello?" He greeted the person on the other end.
He gripped the phone closer to his ear"Today?" He looked at me and then back out the window. I wondered what they were talking about.
"After everything that's happen to us." His voice emotionless and steady.
He looked at me, his face blank, "I'll talk to her, but I make no promises." And with that he hung up.
He walked back towards the bed and took my hand, "everything okay?" I asked as I wondered who he was talking to and what they were talking about.
"It was my mom." He said, "today's Derek's funeral." He said bluntly.
Funeral of the person who ruined our lives.
"Are you going?" I honestly didn't want him to go, but Derek was his brother and I couldn't stop him.
I just couldn't believe a funeral was happening so soon. I remember Patty telling me that Chris' and Derek's body was going to take a while to come here since the autopsy would take a couple months to get sorted.
"No." His voice straightforward failing to make someone think he meant something else. I wanted to say something, but I didn't know what to say. "Do you want to eat out for dinner?" Drew quickly changed the subject.
I didn't want to change topic, but I didn't want to push a sensitive topic on him either. "Yeah, sure." I checked the wall clock to see it was already 11:30am. "Where are you thinking of going?" I asked as I thought about all the possibilities.
"I was thinking Gio's diner?" He answered with a cheesy grin. Ever since we ate at Gio's diner that one time, we go and eat there like once a week. We've gotten pretty close to Gio these past few weeks and it felt nice to have a third party. He wasn't like Chris, but a pretty close resemblance.
I narrowed my eyes at him, "I'm starting to think, you may love Gio more than me." I pouted at their bromance.
Drew came close, our faces only inches away, his eyes were squinted, "Impossible." He smirked as he crashed his lips on mine.
Can I just remind everyone that I hadn't brushed my teeth yet.
But neither of us cared, I wrapped my arms around his neck and I pulled him towards me as he fell on top pinning me to the bed. He retaliated by using one of his hands to hold my head steady and his other hand to draw circles on my hips right under my shirt. I didn't want him to get away, so I pulled him closer and our kisses got intense. We'd each take turns exchanging and capturing moans. Our position switched from me on the bottom to me on top.
I sat on top of him as he sat up, his hands at the center if my back rubbing up and down. His lips traveled from my mouth down to my neck and something clicked. I gasped for air and next thing I knew we were both in the mood.
He looked into my eyes as if asking for permission, I didn't say anything and let my actions do the speaking. I yanked his shirt off and he did the same. His kisses trailed from my lips to my jaw line all the way down to cleavage. He rotated us so I was on the bottom once again. Where I preferred.I pulled onto his hair not wanting this feeling to stop.
