CASSIE'S POV
After our cuddle session, Drew and I had decided to spend the whole day together and just do what regular couples would do. Since Drew didn't know this area too well, he had insisted that I decide what to do since I knew what we could actually do. I had looked outside and checked the weather and realized it was going to be hot today, so I asked if he wanted to go to the beach and he agreed since he hasn't been to one for a long time and neither did I.
I wore a plain white sundress along with my denim jacket since it might be cold and paired it with my red converse. I looked in the mirror and smiled to myself because today was going to be just me and boyfriend.
Drew appeared in my sight and I smiled as I smiled at him, he came closer and wrapped his arms around my waist closing the gap between us, "I love you." He whispered as he kissed my neck.
I turned around and checked him out, he wore khaki shorts and a black polo. "Love you too." I had to tiptoe so I could kiss him on his cheek since he was taller than me.
Everyone was taller than me.
"You ready to go?" He asked as he looked into my eyes, a hint of excitement oozed out of him.
"Almost." I answered referring that I still had to do my hair and makeup.
"Okay." He kissed my forehead, "I'll wait for you in the living room." He informed before he walked out of the room.
I turned back to the mirror, my hair was already in soft curls so I decided to just tie it into a ponytail. As for makeup, I decided to do a natural look with my winged eyeliner as the focal point. I did one last check and left the bedroom.
"Hey." I saw Drew on the couch, "you okay?" I asked as he looked somewhat distracted.
"Yeah. Just excited." He smiled. I wasn't sure if he was telling the truth, but I decided to believe him anyway because I didn't want anything to ruin this day.
"Me too." I forced a smile on my face.
"Let's go then?" He asked, I nodded and then he grabbed my hand, intertwined our fingers.
We walked outside and saw our taxi waiting out front.
"Cassandra?" I turned my head slightly and saw Gio walking towards us with a smile on his face.
"Gio." I smiled as I pulled Drew to walk towards him. He smiled at me and then looked at Drew right before Drew squeezed my hand, "Drew this is Gio, a good family friend of mine," then I turned to Gio, "Gio this is Drew, my boyfriend." I introduced.
Gio held his hand out, "it's nice to meet you." He smiled.
"You too man." Drew greeted in return shaking his hand.
Awkward silence.
"Uhmm, "what are you doing here?" I finally asked as I tried not to make it sound as if I was being rude.
"I was just about to head to work, then I saw you and figured I ask how you were." He replied. "So how are you?" he repeated.
I thought about his question before I answered, "I'm great." I answered. "Actually, Drew and I are going to the beach." I added.
Gio nodded, "sounds like fun," he smiled, "well you guys better get going. You don't want to hit traffic." He added.
"Yeah, and you don't want to be late either." I retorted as he laughed.
