Drew's POV

Although my brain and mind were already awake, I kept my eyes closed denying myself the fact that I had to get up eventually. With the night I had, I deserved a longer rest and so did Cassie. The thought of Cassie sleeping made me weak,the thought of how peaceful she looked when she was calmly asleep. When I remembered we drifted to sleep together in the same bed brought a warm feeling to my body, yet it felt like there wasn't anymore near me. I turned to see if she was just sleeping next to me and she wasn't, I took a quick glance at the other bed and she wasn't in it either.

I quickly opened my eyes open and sat up in bed looking around the messy hotel room, "Cassie?" I said hoping she was in the room still, "Cassandra." I said a bit louder as I looked towards the bathroom, but the light was off. The worst thoughts were coming to me.

What if Derek had another "friend" that came and took her while I was asleep?

Or worst,

What if Cassie went back to the house?

As I climbed out of bed, the cool morning breeze brushed along my exposed skin and the cold wooden floor boards enveloped my feet at every step I took. I was heavily breathing at this point in panic, until I looked out at the balcony and noticed Cassie sitting on the chair that was setup out there. Allowing my breath to slow down, I pulled my black zip up hoodie out of my backpack and my gray slip on vans before I joined Cassie outside.

Startled, Cassie whipped her head back and then smiled innocently when she realized it was just me. "What are you doing out here?" I asked when her head turned back to her original position.

I walked closer to the edge of the balcony and looked out, the balcony had the view of the hotel's swimming pool that some people were already in for their morning swim. "Just thinking," she finally answered, "also doesn't hurt to get some fresh air." She added. I turned towards her to notice she was wearing something completely different from last night.

I smiled at her agreeing to her statement about fresh air, "can I join you?" I asked politely thinking it'd be rude to ruin her alone time, she nodded and I sat in the chair next to her.

I kept looking between her and the mountains at the horizon far back of my view. I closed my eyes before I began to inhale oxygen and exhale it into carbon dioxide. The moment was relaxing until my stomach started to growl making me feel slightly embarrassed to be in Cassie's presence.

I heard her giggle before she said, "there's food inside. I ordered room service a while ago." Still embarrassed, I decided to go back inside the room and examine the food that Cassie ordered earlier.

The aroma of the of the food was barely there, but was still somewhat recognizable to each of the food. I lifted up each metal dome like lid and it showed, two pieces of white bread with a choice of either strawberry or grape jam, a bowl of varied fruits, a plate of scrambled eggs with ketchup on the side along with bacon, a breakfast burrito, and a bowl with three sausages. I decided to take the eggs and the sausage and brought it to the desk so I had a proper eating setup.

While I was eating my breakfast, Cassie came back into the hotel and carried the bowl of fruit with her to the bed before she started flipping through Netflix shows on the TV, she finally stopped when she was contented with the movie Avengers that was in her Recommended picks.

After a moment of silence just eating and watching the movie, Cassie spoke, "Drew?" I tilted my head in her direction, "What happens now?" Her attitude changing from calm to worried, a glimpse of fear shimmered in her brown eyes and not to forget that frown that was now forever engraved in my head.
