S2 EP8 - Summer School: Chapter Eight

Nate was sat at his desk with an article open on his computer. 'Ben Tennyson: The Alien Defender' He scrolled through, reading about his dad's adventures. He stopped at a section titled 'The Lost Plans for Omnitrix City.'

Nate: It would've been great, Dad.

He turned the computer off and walked downstairs. Rook was using his laptop to scan the planet.

Nate: Any hits?

Rook: None so far. We were lucky to have gotten that last one.

Nate: Well, keep looking. It couldn't of gotten far with that teleport. Corrodium leaves a significant trace.

Nate's phone started ringing.

Courtney: Hey.

Nate: Hey, what's going on?

Courtney: Yolanda just returned the Wildcat costume.

Nate: She really left?

Courtney: I can't imagine what she's been going through. I wish I could help her.

Nate: Sometimes, these things are out of our control.

Courtney: I guess. What are you doing?

Nate: Trying to find leads on Zs'Skayr.

Courtney: Got anything yet?

Nate: I got a part of something.

Courtney: What is it?

Nate: I'll tell you when I have the full picture. Stay safe and call me if you need anything.

Courtney: Got it.

Nate hung up. He looked up to see Rook staring at him.

Nate: Don't look at me like that. I can't just...

Rook: Tell the truth?

Nate: Don't do that. Never do that.

Rook: She will have to know about your feelings sooner or later.

Nate: Or I could try and force them to the deepest corner of my brain.

The laptop started to ping.

Nate: What is it saying?

Rook looked at the screen.

Rook: It has a location. That is odd.

Nate: What?

Rook: It is at an abandoned Plumber base.

Nate: Which one?

Rook: Mount Rushmore.

Nate: That's the next state over. We better hurry.

Rook: The Proto-TRUK is not fast enough to get there in time.

Nate: I've got a plan. Let's go.

They walk outside and Rook gets in the TRUK.

Rook: What are you doing? Get in.

Nate activated the Omnitrix and cycled through his aliens. He then pressed the faceplate down.
