•Chapter 2• {|An Unwanted Visitor}|

[Later At Night]

Li Mei was soon asleep, Kenji sighed and shook his head as he let out a small chuckle, he put down his stick, using the rest of his lasting strength to carry her to bed, once he made it to her room, the moonlight was shining through her window, being the only piercing light in the dimly lit and dark room. Kenji rested her on her bed, fixing the blankets and sheets from underneath and laying them on her for warmth, "Goodnight granddaughter, I hope to see you tomorrow for spring cleaning, don't be asleep for too late in the morning..." he muttered under his breathe, trying not to wake the girl. He then walked back to the living room, cleaning up the cups they used for the tea and cleaned them for another time. He picked up his stick and went outside onto the porch, closing the door behind him. He sat with his legs crisscrossed on the last step, trying to meditate and enjoy the peace and silence after a long day.

After resting his eyes for a short while, he opened them again, them growing wide and filled with immense fear, seeing a dark figure right in front of him, the figure was in the shadow, they're eyes glowing a vibrant and bright purple. Kenji was speechless, but his face turned from fear into determination and defense. "Macaque...." He spoke, the figure let out a small chuckle, the laugh was spine chilling, making every hair of his fur stand on end, unhinged by the laugh. "Hello....old fool..." the figure spoke, "I see that your still alive...how quant..hehehe..I thought you'd be dust by now..hehehe.." He spoke again, making the old monkey growl from him even being near his property. "Your NOT welcomed here...Macaque!" Kenji said, gritting his teeth in anger. Macaque just laughed, amused by the old fool's determination and protection of his own grandchild, determined to do ANYTHING to keep the only thing he had left safe.

"Awwww! How sweet, I knew you'd remember me! The monkey who YOU took in and shut out! I feel touched! Well then, I might say, I'm impressed old fool, you managed to keep alive the one thing you had left! Impressive. Hehehehe..." the monkey spoke. Smiling as he grew even more annoyed with the old man in front of him. Making Kenji stand up and hold his staff. "Hehehehe....you know, the day we met, I thought you was strong...but sadly, you've gotten soft, back then, you used to fight with me, training me after I was abandoned by that neglecting lazy excuse of a king...you was strong, and took ME in, you used to train ME after I was left out, you used to have ME!" The black furred monkey spoke again, his anger growing more and more hostile. "But now...hehehehe....you have a far more NEWER student that you admire...who was it again? Li Mei!? What a beautiful name old fool, you got a treasure in that house!" Then within a split moment, macaque charged at the old monkey, making a weapon from his own magic and powers, swinging it to make an impact on the old fool, only for it to be blocked by his stick. Kenji had blocked the hit within impact, blocking it with his weapon, his stick. "Leave now Macaque and none of this nonsense has to come.." the old man spoke calmly, the tone of anger in his voice.

"Tell me...old fool...is she more stronger, faster, more of a successful student then I am?" Macaque said, his voice filled with rage. Kenji only frowned and attacked Mac, making the staff flip out of his grip and onto the ground. Macaque snarled, ready to punch Kenji only for him to block it before impact. "Enough Macaque..." Kenji spoke again. Looking pitiful for the poor angry young monkey before him. "TELL ME!!!" Mac shouted, becoming completely furious, throwing more punches at Kenji. Kenji kept blocking every punch, having no expression left on his face but....Pity. "I'm telling you Macaque, you need to face the truth, you made yourself leave in shame, turning to cold and evilness, only using your strategies to harm and cause nothing but pain...I took you in, feed you, helped you, and let you stay, you used to be so kind and strong but now your cold and filled with the intentions to hurt and grown with a heart full of nothing but stone..I sensed something in you growing Macaque, and it's dangerous, too dangerous for Li Mei to handle, I had to do it, you grew stronger but your intentions were too cold hearted and harmful for her..." Macaque kept fighting, not listening to the old fool's words. "Oh ho ho ho..Kenji..she was only an little kid. She SHOULD'VE known of me..I'm most famous for nothing but chaos and shadows..why lie, when you said to be wise and honest..that isn't very honest of you, you know..! hehehe.." Kenji started to grow with more anger and he shoved Macaque in the stomach with the staff, making Macaque go flying through the air with him grunting from the impact, him landing on his back going into the green grass and dirt.

"I wanted to tell her..to warn her of you! Your a monster, I'd rather fight you MYSELF then let you lay a finger on my granddaughter! She's not ready to know yet...she was only a child..she didn't know..and she won't, until she is ready to know of you....LEAVE my home, go back to the cold forests from whence you came from! Take your hatred and harmful ways with you, I don't want my granddaughter to witness your COLD ways..." Macaque rubbed his stomach a bit, with his eyes filled with the look of madness and as if he wanted to kill, he grunted and took back his staff making it vanish with his power, he looked back directly at the old monkey, filled with immense fury, he aggressively wiped the bruise from near his mouth, not taking his eyes off the old monkey, he got up and left, giving the old fool one last gaze of complete anger. "She'll know of me soon....REAL soon."

Macaque then finally left, stomping away and jumping from the ground into a nearby tree, then to one, and another. Leaving Kenji a bit tired yet pitiful, he sighed thinking to himself of what would happen if he ever let Macaque near Li Mei..but he brushed off the feeling and soon went back to check on Li Mei. He peeked into her room, seeing her sleeping peacefully. He smiled a bit to himself but his smile faded soon after. "Oh Li Mei....I hope that she'll soon realize the truth...of my old student..she'll figure it out soon..once she's ready.." he thought, leaving and slowly closing her bedroom door and going to rest.

Macaque was out there somewhere, doing God knows what..but let's hope that Kenji will be there..for his next visit...
