•Chapter 7• {|Li Mei's Nightmare|}

It was late, Kenji was asleep in his room, while Li Mei was sleeping in her's. She was sleeping peacefully, but there was something wrong...the image of someone had came into her head, she saw him in her dreams, seeing small glimpses of fighting and scratch marks on the walls and curtains...It unsettled her, it SCARED her, making her twist and turn, but that's when she finally fell into a deep sleep and saw nothing but snow, then she saw that she was in the forests, it was winter. The trees were covered in snow, the cold air made her shiver and shake a bit, it felt like she wasn't wearing anything warm to protect herself from the cold, but only a torn and ragged blue and aqua green kimono, it was from her point of view. Then she saw...a shadow, a shadow of a certain monkey, Kenji. She then follows after it, trying to catch up to the figure but when she caught up, she saw nothing.

{Li Mei's POV}
I...I saw snow..nothing but trees and snow, I feel cold..I'm freezing..I held myself from the cold, and started to walk..there was a small path through the tree's..I walked and walked and that's when I heard it...the voice. "Li Mei!" It shouted, I turned around and saw nothing on the path..only trees, in the woods it was dark..complete dark..snowflakes fell from the sky and fell on my clothes and fur..my eyes looked around for the source of the voice..then I shouted back "G-Grandpa!" my voice echoed throughout the trees and the woods, but no response, I thought that it was only my imagination but then I heard fast footsteps right behind me, then the voice said again but deeper "Li Mei..." I gasped when I heard the voice and quickly turned around again..but saw nothing.."I must be going crazy.." I thought to myself. Then I shouted back, "W-Who's there....he-hello....plz..if there's anyone there...show yourself..." nothing happened, but then I heard footsteps from behind me again and I quickly turned around only to see nothing, but they I heard laughing..laughter of a bunch of voices..they all sounded like..Sammy..MK..Mei..Pigsy, Tang and....someone else..the voice was familiar..they were all coming from different directions, ALL directions, I shouted again, "Leave me alone!!! Whoever you are, I'M NOT AFRAID OF YOU!!! SHOW YOURSELF!!" then..the laughing stopped. I stopped and everything went silent.

"H-Hello.." I whispered under my breath, cold air came from my mouth as I spoke. "Li Meeeeeeeeei..." a familiar voice spoke..it came from right behind me..I slowly turned around..and my eyes widened with fear, I saw everyone looking at me with smiling crooked faces, they were shadow like, but they're eyes...they were a bright glowing blue..they all spoke again, but in one voice. "LI MEEEEEEEEI...." They spoke, then walking closer to me, I panicked and backed away, but then I bumped into someone, I yelped and quickly turned around seeing...Macaque..? He looked terrifying, I saw a large scar over his eye.."where..I never saw that scar..." I thought as my jaw was down, I was speechless to seeing him like that..I barely knew this monkey...but then he spoke, those words....they were stuck with my mind when he spoke..."You...I did say...that you would know of me soon...why so scared of me...I'm only nothing but a friend....I wouldn't hurt a fly" ..his head tilted to the side unnervingly, making me feel unhinged. Then my friends started to corner me, but I panicked and backed up again away from them and bumped into someone, finally..someone I knew. It was Kenji! Thank goodness! "Grandpa..!" I shouted, hugging the familiar old man...until..I heard Macaque's chucking from him..my face soon turned from relief to horror when I heard him speak.."Li Mei...why did you run away from me....? I thought you loved your grandpa....." he spoke, his hand turning into Mac's within seconds and hugging me back I gasped and pushed him away, seeing Macaque instead of my grandfather, I screamed! "AUUUUUUGGH!!!" I shrieked, then everything went black. Then I woke up...

"AHHH!!!" I screamed as I quickly sat up in bed, gasping and breathing for air as I took big and long breaths, my eyes were welded up with tears as I felt my cheeks wet and cold, I hugged myself and shook with fear as more tears fell from my eyes and onto my blanket. Then I heard footsteps coming to my room..I heard my door open and saw Kenji standing there in shock and extreme worry, he looked scared at me and quickly went to me as he saw how I was. "My child!! What happened..I heard screaming.." he shouted, holding my shoulders, "I-...I had a nightmare...it was terrible...I needed you...! I couldn't find you anywhere.....I was in a forest...snow was all over the place..then I saw Macaque!!!" Kenji's eyes grew as I saw his worried expression turn to fear within seconds. He growled a bit..then left, after a few moments later, he came into my room with his stick, closing my door and sitting on my bed beside me. He looked serious, I wiped my tears, sniffing until I felt a warm hand on my cheek, it was Kenji's, he looked serious but worried and scared, I held my head down and only sniffed and wiped away the tears that came. Until he wiped them for me. Then he talked to me.."Listen Li Mei...Macaque is out to get you....I'm so sorry..but I have been keeping this from you for so long...I can't keep it in anymore but now..that he's appearing more and more around our home...I have to say something..something that I've been keeping from for a while now..ever since you was a child.." he said, I looked confused, "w-what do you mean grandpa...." I asked, he then spoke again..finally confessing. "I..I used to be the sensei of Macaque..." my eyes widened. "W-What..I never knew..that..you and him used to know each other...I-I thought you said..that you used to have a friend.." "I did.." he spoke after, "We used be like father and son..I trained and taught him my skills...but he was also dangerous...I gave up on him for you..I regretted it..but after what happened in our last fight..I felt scared and worried for you..and what might happen to you if he ever gotten to you.." I felt a bit betrayed by him not telling me and said "Why..! Why didn't you tell me?!" I yelled, "I did it..to not scare you..I waited until you was ready to know..but now...I HAVE to warn you..he. is. DANGEROUS Li Mei..he'll hurt you...I felt too scared to explain to you at such a young age..I waited until your birthday to tell..but now.. I had to warn you..for he is preying on you...!" I gasped and started to feel scared, the horrid look on my face, no wonder Kenji didn't want to tell me..I felt so scared..idk what to do now..what will happen..my paranoia..n-no. Kenji hugged me and tried to calm me down..and I hugged back..feeling a bit relieved that he was there by my side..breathing slowly and shaking from fear. Kenji patted my back..and comforted me for the rest of the night...that nightmare..I could never fall asleep..Kenji had to sleep beside me for me to sleep properly..but that nightmare..I never forgot that nightmare ever since.

I soon felt calm..Kenji had gotten my a glass of water to help me stay hydrated to sleep, he sat on my bed, watching around the room as I slept, I soon started to feel better. I felt him sot right next to me and rub my shoulder to comfort me, and I smiled a bit..a bit fear was left..but mostly relief and calmness and peace as in me..and thanks to Kenji, I finally fell asleep.
