•Chapter 14• {|Cleaning The Mess|} •Pt.2•

It soon became the late evening, oil and robot parts was scattered around the area, there was only so little left to take down, Li Mei breathed heavily, the breeze cooling on the sweat on her fur and skin and her just finishing another bot, everyone was tired, they decided to stop for a moment, there was 10 more bots left to fight. "10 left g-guys..!" Li Mei huffed, wiping the sweat off her forehead and feeling exhausted from all the fighting, Wukong was also tired and he looked over at the others, they were looking pretty beat as well, he then looked at Li Mei, she looked overheated from the heat and blazing sun that soon was starting to set, he began to go over to her to make sure she was ok, but she dropped her weapon and fell onto her hands and knees, shaking and then stumbling onto her elbows, her breathing heavily for air, the heat was beginning to be too much for the young woman. Wukong and everyone saw and gasped, they're faces looking of extreme worry, "L-LI MEI!!!" Wukong screamed as he ran to her aid, Kenji saw this too and looked super worried for his granddaughter and also went. "M-My child...!" He shouted with worry, everyone then quickly went to her, looking scared for they're fallen friend, MK and Mei looking worried, and Tang checking her to see if there was any bad conditions she had. Then with a fainted grunt and sigh of tiredness, she fell forward, everyone screamed from the display but Wukong caught her right before her face could touch the ground, him fixing her position and holding her in his arms checking her, "I-Is she ok W-Wukong..?" Kenji asked with worry and fear, Wukong didn't respond until he checked to make sure she was ok, looking at her tired looking face and sensing that she must've been taking in the blazing heat during the fight. He turned her face to meet his, him caressing her cheek gently, and was honestly shocked by the feeling "Soft.." he thought, her cheeks felt fuzzy, but also hot, he then blushed a little from how beautiful she looked, but then was snapped back into reality by Kenji. "Wukong, is my granddaughter alright..?!" he asked again, sounding more scared for his only granddaughter. Wukong quickly looked at him and spoke, "Y-Yes..! But she's overheated from the heat...she needs to cool down!" he responded to the old monkey, everyone saw the amount of bots that was left and began to armor up with they're weapons, but Sammy then spoke, "I'll fight the rest! It's a piece of cake! You guys take Li Mei inside and cool down, I'll take care of this!" The blue giant said confidently while holding his hammer, walking to the last few bots to kill the rest out the way.

Everyone nodded to Sammy and went inside, Wukong asked Sammy, "You sure your gonna to be ok big fella?" Sammy gave him a big courageous smile and said, "Yeah! I can handle these buckets of bolts!" then turning back to the bots and running towards them yelling with his hammer, smashing one and punching another. Wukong smiled and picked up Li Mei and took her inside, Kenji followed after, checking on her every moment, she looked limp, as if...she wasn't breathing, Kenji then looked scared and immediately checked her pulse for anything and felt a faint one beating, he then sighed in relief and kept walking. When they made it inside, Wukong gently laid down Li Mei on the couch, and grabbed a fan with his tail and began to cool her down, Kenji watched as he held his stick and felt relieved to see him helping her be safe, even for a distant best friend, he still was there for him, even there to help his own granddaughter. Li Mei breathed heavily but soon started to calm down and cool from the heat, breathing slowly and steady and calmly. Wukong admired the face she had, caressing her cheek again and another blush forming on his own, he then smiled and chuckled softly. "You know Kenji, you really must've been that lucky to have such an amazing granddaughter, heck! Even her parents must've been lucky to have her...she's amazing.." he said in a soft and warm tone, still having his eyes on her. Kenji smiled and went to Wukong, "Yes, she was like an angel her mother said on the day of her birth, she kept on saying how she was blessed by the heavens to have such a wonderful child...I felt blessed too.." he said smiling. Wukong added on, "I bet she WAS blessed..she's beautiful.." he muttered while rubbing her cheek gently. "I see that you like her Monkey King.." Kenji said to Wukong, he flinched, his tail puffing up and his face immediately going a little red. "W-WHAT?! Nah- no! I-I possibly CANT-..I- Uhm...I'm just hot is all!" he said nervously, scratching the back of his head and sweating while looking to the side. Kenji only chuckled and shook his head, leaving the Monkey King to his blushing and cares of Li Mei.
